Earlier today, our Sea Base delegation had an informative meeting with Councilwoman Duggan and the LA28 team. We're looking forward to what the Olympic games will bring to the Alamitos Bay, Marine Stadium, and Belmont Shore areas very soon.

Meet Barbara Shoag, one of our 2026 Kick Ass Women nominees!

Since moving to Long Beach in 1972, Barbara has been a dedicated community volunteer, serving as President of the League of Women Voters, leading the PTA, and serving on several civic commissions.

Her leadership began early, from her involvement in Brownies and Girl Scouts to serving as Student Government President at Simmons College. In her 40s, she began a successful career in real estate. After retiring at 84, she continued giving back, helping found the Senior Activities Program at the EXPO in Bixby Knolls.

Barbara treasures her family, friendships, travel, and a lifetime of charitable work. We look forward to celebrating her decades of community involvement!

Join us on Sunday, November 8, at Lakewood Country Club as we celebrate Barbara and eight other remarkable women while supporting Scouting opportunities for local youth.

Another beautiful crisp morning at the Long Beach Sea Base! Blue skies, trimmed palm trees, and 67 degrees with a little rain later today in the forecast.

Not the highest of tides this morning, but somewhat high. Thankfully no damage from the swells on our side.

Pack 247 shared this picture from their Trunk or Treat at St. Pancratius over the weekend. So cool... fun... and scary!
