⏳ WE ARE LESS THAN 24 HOURS AWAY.

Tomorrow we come together for something bigger than an event—this is about healing, accountability, policy, and real community transformation.
Healing Our Blocks: CVIPI & Second Chance Month Symposium

🗓 Saturday, April 25, 2026
⏰ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Long Beach City College (LBCC) – TTC Campus
1305 E Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach, CA 90806
🏫 GG Building (Main Room: GG238)

We are gathering:
• Community leaders
• Youth voices
• System partners
• Service providers
• Directly impacted individuals

To engage in real dialogue and solutions around:
✔️ Community violence prevention (CVIPI)
✔️ Trauma-informed healing & mental health
✔️ Restorative justice practices
✔️ Reentry & second chances
✔️ Workforce & economic opportunity

And critically, we are also connecting policy to practice, including conversations around key legislation such as:

AB 2247 (T.H.R.I.V.E. Act) – supporting healing-centered, trauma-informed, violence prevention strategies

SB 38 – strengthening pathways for accountability, rehabilitation, and reentry support
Because real change requires both community voice AND policy action working together.

This is the space where those conversations happen.
If you’ve been saying you care about safety, healing, and opportunity in our community—
this is the room to show up in.

Pull up. Be present. Be part of the work. 🖤

I-Nspire Community Coalition: Standing for Second Chances ✊🏾

Last night, the I-Nspire Community Coalition was proud to be part of a transformative Second Chance Month event on the campus of Cal State LA. Our founder was on the ground helping coordinate an evening that bridged the gap between policy, art, and community resources.

The night featured:
Resource Fair: Connecting our community directly to essential services.

Legislative Panel: A heavy-hitting dialogue with a State Senator, Assemblymember, and non-profit leaders about the future of justice and reentry.

Film Screening: A moving presentation of "The People in Blue" from the San Quentin Film Festival.

It was also a privilege to stand alongside our partner in the work, Franklin Windom, Founder of the Louise W. Calhoun Foundation. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do at I-Nspire. When we align our visions, we create a stronger safety net and more vibrant opportunities for those navigating their second chance.

We are committed to the belief that your past does not define your future. Together, we are inspiring change and rebuilding lives.

Yesterday, Saturday, March 14th, I-Nspire Community Coalition was honored to participate in the Youth Prayer Breakfast in Long Beach hosted by 23 Seeds of Greatness.

Our Founder and CEO, Robert Robinson, had the privilege of being part of the program agenda and offering a prayer covering over the youth of our city. Moments like these remind us that the work of transforming communities must be rooted in faith, unity, and a shared commitment to uplifting the next generation.

We were also honored to stand alongside two respected leaders whose dedication has helped shape the framework of community violence intervention, gang prevention, and healing-centered work in the City of Long Beach — Dr. Lydia Hollie and Mr. Charles Brown. Their leadership and decades of service continue to inspire the work being carried forward today.

At I-Nspire Community Coalition, we believe that when a community prays together, works together, and invests in its youth, transformation becomes possible.

"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." — James 5:16

Together, we will continue to stand in the gap for our youth and help guide them toward purpose, healing, leadership, and greatness.
