She deserves the best

**PLEASE HELP BY SHARING**

Okay this is our pound dog from this past Wednesday, June 10th. Sadly we received ZERO INFORMATION about her or her family ….so she is still with us. 😔

What does this mean??? Well, her three day hold as a pound dog is now over, so we will hold her for another week and continue to hope her family is looking for her - but meanwhile we will start planning for her needs to ready her for adoption! Luckily she landed somewhere safe and we will take great care of her and have named her Lady. ❤️🐾

However, sadly this means she is going to take a spot in our shelter that we were hoping to fill with a dog on our waitlist. You see we can only help as many dogs as we have resources for ….small, rural independent shelters like Safe Haven have limited funds, volunteers, space, and supplies - all things we need to provide the high standard of care we strive for, for each of our pets.

So we will take excellent care of our new dog Lady - she will actually be having her first vet appointment tomorrow! Then we will start focusing on finding her a new home - that’s where all of you can help too! Please continue to share her post ….either helping us find her original family, or her new adoptive one!

*Pupdate*

This little guy that was dumped in our parking lot is starting to warm up. We have learned he loooooves kids and is potty trained. We decided to let him be an office dog during his time with us as he's not really cut out for the shelter environment. At night he sleeps in the office in a crate but he has really taken a liking to our secretary, Dorothy and has been hanging out with her all day.

These wonderful cards titled "Be Positive About Your Doubts" , were gifted to us from Nana Burford's partner and family to raise money for Mary's Farm Sanctuary. They were drawn by writer and artist Kay Burford, Nana's mother, who was also an advocate for animals. Each set contains 16 cards , each offering words of inspiration.
