🐾 Dolly is headed to her forever home! 🏡🤍

This sweet little Flea Family baby is officially becoming sisters with Willa (formerly Willow!) who remembers our long-haired Siamese girl adopted earlier this spring?! 🥹

Dolly will come back to us for her spay, but for now she gets to settle into her forever home with the best humans. 🩵🐾

🐴 Help Us Give 5–10 Horses a Second Chance 🐴

This Monday, Richland Area Rescue is hoping to safely bring 5–10 horses in need into rescue—but we cannot make it happen without your help.

These horses deserve more than an uncertain future. They deserve compassion, safety and the opportunity to know what it feels like to be loved. Our goal is to give each horse a safe landing and a second chance at life, protecting them from the threat of horse slaughter and helping them find responsible, loving homes.

Our commitment will not end when the horses arrive. Richland Area Rescue will provide each horse with:

❤️ A safe place to rest and recover
🌾 Nutritious feed, hay and fresh water every day
🐴 Daily hands-on care and attention
🩺 Veterinary and farrier care as needed
🏡 Time and support until a carefully selected, responsible home is found

Donations will help cover rescue expenses, transportation, feed, hay, medical care and the ongoing daily needs of every horse we can bring to safety.

Every donation—large or small—will help determine how many horses we can save. If you are unable to donate, please share this post. One share may reach the person who can help make this rescue possible.

Together, we can show these horses that their lives matter. Together, we can offer them hope, healing and the safe future they deserve.

Saturday Morning Cuteness 🧡🐾

Copper & Clover came to the rescue with shakes that could possibly be cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition that affects balance and coordination. It’s not painful or contagious, but we won’t know for sure until their first vet visit and a little more time.

Clover’s symptoms are mild but still there, while Copper is our adorable little wobbly guy. And honestly… his wobble just makes him even cuter. Heres a video of their extra wobbly cuteness to start your holiday weekend! 🧡🐾

Curious how Class IV Laser Therapy actually works? ✨

Our friends at Creekside gave us a little write up allllll about it!👇
So it’s all about something called photobiomodulation (PBM) and there's a ton of solid research backing it up!

Basically, it delivers a targeted dose of light straight to sore or damaged tissue. This triggers the cells' powerhouses (mitochondria) to go to work, dialing down pain and inflammation while speeding up the body's natural healing process.
To get the best results, the light actually has to reach the tissue deep down.

Creekside uses a Companion Animal Health Class IV Laser that has treatment protocols programmed to ensure:
-The perfect light wavelength to treat the effected area
-Enough laser power to cut down on fur and skin color reflection
-Settings to target specific areas of the body based off the pet’s weight and body condition score, while minimizing absorption by molecules not involved in photobiomodulation.

Mavis Update🖤🦇🐾

Remember the tiny kitten found inside a vehicle that traveled from the Dells? Well after I got her settled I could feel strange air pockets under her skin.

Our friend Cat checked her out and suspected subcutaneous emphysema- air trapped under the skin, usually from an injury. This morning, our friend & foster took her to work with her (just happens to work at one of our go to clinics AND live across the street from us 🙌) for X-rays.

The X-rays showed multiple broken ribs on her left side. 😔

Somehow, this little girl has been sweet, chatty, and showing almost no signs of pain. Thankfully, she can heal at home with rest and restrictions. The hard part will be convincing a playful kitten that she needs to take it easy.🫠🖤

We cannot thank the Creekside Veterinary Clinic and Pet Grooming team for sneaking her in today and taking such good care of her!!! 💙💛

A couple emergency intakes today + updates on our latest misfits 🤍🐽🐾

Nilla 🤍: This tiny guy is only a couple days old and was found in the trash. He was the only one to survive. 💔 Neonates are getting harder and harder to place with rescues being completely full, so we brought this little guy in and are going to do everything we can to get him big, strong, and healthy.

Mavis 🖤 🦇: This young lady was found inside the engine of a rental car that came from the Dells and ended up in Richland Center. With the local humane society still not helping the community, she made her way here!

Copper & Clover 🧡🤍: Our wobbly babies are STILL wobbly… but they’re also spicy, spunky, and doing SO well! They’re becoming pros at litter training and absolutely LOVE meal times. 🤣

Lucky 🤍: Our little drain baby is doing okay! He’s had a small setback while we work through some worm/gut issues, but he sure is handsome and LOVES to snuggle.

The piglets 🐽: THRIVING! And they have absolutely no problem letting me know when they think they’re hungry. 😂

Our flea family 🐾: These guys are doing AMAZING! Today we added some things to their shed so they can play, climb, scratch, and just be kittens. They’re doing so much better with their cat food and those little motors are ALWAYS running. 🤣🤍

Good & sad update on the flea family. 🤍

✨ NO MORE FLEAS! ✨ And they are REALLY coming out of their shells! They love attention, and watching their little personalities come through has been the sweetest thing. 🥹🐾

We also learned these guys had never actually eaten cat food before.. They were being fed human food. So their hesitation with their new food makes a whole lot more sense! We’re taking it slow, and they’re getting there. 🤍

Sadly, we did lose one of the kittens. 💔 He was extremely anemic, but fought hard and showed improvement after intervention. Unfortunately, his little body had just been through too much, and it wasn’t enough.

Fleas are wicked little creatures, especially for tiny, vulnerable babies. 😔

We’re happy to these guys less itchy and feeling more comfortable 🐾✨
