Feral Cat Care of Owens Valley

10/13/2026

This is my vision and hope for our TNR program. To get so many cats spayed and neutered in a single day. Imagine if we could do this once a month. Imagine if we could do 25 in a day. How do we get there?

Ten for surgery today. We usually trap every Sunday and Monday for surgeries on Monday and Tuesday. TRAP NEUTER RETURN is the humane solution for feral overpopulation.

This August kitten cycle is just nonstop! This kitten is behind the chamber of commerce in Lone Pine.

He is healthy looking and energetic so this is not an emergency. Plus he will be hard to catch. This is an example of a kitten that we probably leave out and then TNR him if he makes it another couple of months.

Recognizing what we need to get involved in and what we just leave alone is an important part of doing TNR work. We can’t catch and save all the kittens. We will be focusing on the mama cat if we can identify her.

If anyone is missing a cat in Lone Pine, please let me know. This sweet kitty might have been dumped or lost and she ended up in a car engine, then got handed off to someone in Keeler who already has plenty of cats. If you would like to adopt her, let us know. We will, of course help with her surgery.

Squishy is so dang adorable. Adoptable!

🐾 My name is Squishy! 🩷

Squishy is a slender, beautiful girl who loves the great outdoors! 🌿 She enjoys playing in the big yard, going for walks, and pretty much any activity outside.

She walks nicely on a leash and is a good listener. Petite in stature, Squishy has a lovely personality and enjoys meeting people. When it comes to other dogs, she prefers a slow and proper introduction. 🐾

Squishy is ready to be your adventure partner or your very best companion! Could she be the girl you’ve been looking for? ❤️

Hi Lone Pine! This cat hitched a ride in a car engine from Jake’s bar in Lone Pine out to Miller’s towing. If she looks like your cat, please let me know so we can get her back here. She was given away to someone out in Keeler. She’s definitely not a feral cat. She seems like a scared young kitten or small cat.

Guess who is a little girl!! I am so surprised, so I did some reading and I just learned how calico cats are made! I honestly did not know this.

Did you know that 80% of orange cats are male? The gene for orange fur lives on the X chromosome. Male cats have one X and one Y chromosome, meaning they only need one copy of the orange gene (from their mother) to be completely orange.

If a female cat only gets one orange gene, she becomes a tortoiseshell or calico mix instead.

The orange kitten is learning to play, eating a lot and gaining weight. Have a look!

Hello all. Is anyone interested in fostering two spicy fluffy kittens? These two are still quite feral and even though they are little, it will take them some time to be able to handle them. Please reach out if you can help.

Hello all, we encountered a very sick kitten that is in need of immediate medical attention. Since our mission is TNR, we do not have a special fund for kitten care.

We will be doing a fundraiser, but in the meantime we would like to help this sick kitten get into a better place.

Before you volunteer to take this kitten, please understand that he cannot be around any other animals in case he is contagious. He needs to be quarantined and taken to the vet to get treatment asap. We cannot help with his medical costs at this time. Please help if you can.
