BREAKING: MURDERERS! Shocking new report shows that Pete Hegseth ordered the military to “kill them all” and launched a second strike against two men desperately holding on to a burning boat in a clear and obvious war crime, and then LIED TO CONGRESS about it!
New reporting from the Washington Post shows that sadistic drunk Pete Hegseth had specifically told the Special Operations commander overseeing the first strike on alleged drug runners to extreminate everybody, no matter what.
“The order was to kill everybody,” one of them said.
The Washington Post describes how “for minutes, commanders watched the boat burning on a live drone feed. As the smoke cleared, they got a jolt: Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck.”0
“The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, two people familiar with the matter said. The two men were blown apart in the water.”
Since we are not legally “at war” with drug smugglers, no matter how many times the Trump adminstration says we are, killing people in boats “amounts to murder,” according to Todd Huntley, a former military lawyer. Even if we were, he continues, killing the two unarmed survivors “would in essence be an order to show no quarter, which would be a war crime.”
To make matters worse, they then lied to the public and to Congress about the strike, telling them that the second missile was to “remove a navigation hazard” and not to murder two helpless people.
Since that dark day, Trump and Hegseth have murdered an additional 80 people with their illegal airstrikes on boats in the Caribbean.
Hegseth told the media that he was 100% certain that the alleged boats were smuggling drugs for Tren de Aragua, right-wing media’s newest boogeyman gang that is all of a sudden everywhere and immensely powerful — remember MS-13? Sure haven’t heard a lot about them lately!
But the Post reports that “inclassified briefings to members of Congress, Pentagon officials have not provided any specific names of traffickers or syndicate leaders they have targeted, lawmakers have said, nor have they publicly released further information beyond surveillance videos of the strikes themselves.”
It’s because they are lying. They are making it all up to justify the wanton murder of some of the world’s poorest people, coming from an international pariah state and are therefore have the least amount of agency to stand up for themselves or hold Trump and Hegseth accountable for their crimes.
It’s the classic fascist handbook, except this time, ours are the boots that goose-step. Now we know why Hegseth was freaking out so much about the Democrats' request for generals to ignore illegal orders.
Because he's giving illegal orders, and he knows it.
