School's out...and plane-watching is IN! And that's what you can do all summer long at the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire, where our parking lot and grounds (currently abloom with wildflower blossoms) are open seven days a week from dawn until 8 p.m. We're right next to Runway 17-35 at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, and there's no better spot to watch the big jets take off and land, such as this UPS A300-600 freighter lifting off this morning as Flight 2049 bound for Chicago/Rockford, Ill. We're located at 27 Navigator Road (off Harvey Road), Londonderry, N.H. When you visit, be sure to stop in the Aviation Museum and learn about our airfield's nearly 100 years of history, including its time as Grenier Air Base, a key part of the nation's defense during World War II and the Cold War. We're open Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. Find out why we've been voted 'Best Place to Take Kids' six years running in the annual Hippo Readers Poll. And while you're here, check out our store, too—voted 'Best Local Shop to Get One-Of-A-Kind Gift' and 'Best Shop to Buy Toys for Kids.' Or just watch planes!
