Stories are important. They hold meaning, power, truth. Stories of faith? Even more so. Before being published, the stories within the pages of the Bible were told by word of mouth. People listened. They responded. They retold.

These stories represent discipleship in a way that’s different from any other. People recognized that - these stories of faith? They weren’t meant to be kept quiet. They were meant to glorify God. They were meant to show others His greatness and power. They were meant to be shared.

Who knew that these testimonies would multiply God’s Kingdom over and over again?

We want to celebrate the Lord through those stories with a night of testimony about what God is doing through Compass Financial Ministry. On Tuesday, October 14th, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, at First Baptist Church of Somerset in Somerset, KY, we will celebrate God through stories of Living Proof: What Happens When Faith Meets Finances.

As we conclude our celebration of 15 years of Compass-Kentucky, please join us in prayer today for what the Lord will do in this ministry over the next 15 years:

“Lord, we come to You today, asking that You continue to use this ministry as a vessel for Your glory. Use it to multiply Your Kingdom as we teach Your people how to handle money and possessions the way that You intended. May we look to You as the sole Provider. May we continue to use Your Word to spread the message of financial discipleship. Lord, may it be so. We love You. In Christ’s precious and Holy name we pray, Amen.”

It’s Next Generation Monday!

The Lord is providing some incredible opportunities through Asbury University and Kentucky FFA (in partnership with First Southern National Bank) for Compass-Kentucky to be able to teach the next generation of leaders what the Bible says about money and possessions. To start off from an early age with the peace and knowledge of God’s truth on biblical financial principles is an incredible blessing.

We believe that learning these spiritual truths from a young age is one of the best ways to transform the faith of the next generation. It certainly transformed mine!
