🚨 Historic Milestone Alert! 🚨
God’s Pantry Food Bank distributed over 50 million pounds of food in a single year for the first time in our 70-year history!

"We are incredibly grateful to our donors, volunteers, and community partners who have made this milestone possible, but the reality is that the need continues to grow," said Michael Halligan, God’s Pantry Food Bank President and CEO. "With grocery prices still high, families are turning to food banks in record numbers. We need strong, bipartisan support for programs like TEFAP that help connect U.S. farmers with food banks to fight hunger."

This year, we commemorate 70 years of service at God’s Pantry Food Bank. What began in 1955 as Mim Hunt’s personal mission to combat poverty and hunger in Lexington has grown into a regional force for good, serving 50 counties across Central and Eastern Kentucky.

Mim’s simple acts of kindness—filling her station wagon with food, clothing, and bedding to help those in need—planted the seeds for an organization that has touched countless lives.
