This week the South Laurel High School FCCLA chapter had the opportunity to attend the Kentucky FCCLA State Leadership Conference. We had such a great time and got recognized for so many accomplishments that our amazing chapter received. Our Chapter President, Lily Hollingshead earned the Agnes Foster Golden Horizon Award by being a senior who is constantly faithful and often working quietly behind the scenes to ensure the success of not only our chapter and community but also our entire Region 13. ❤️ Cierra Person and Isabella Johnson placed 2nd in Chapter in Review: Portfolio, Jaelyn West placed 3rd in Leadership and Lily Hollingshead placed 2nd in Public Policy Advocate which are their STAR EVENT competitions that they worked tirelessly on for the past months. Lily Hollingshead, Cierra Person, and Isabella Johnson advanced to the National Leadership Conference. All of our STAR Events placed GOLD and SILVER as well. ⭐️ Kacie Hale, Lacie Hale, Cierra Person, Kyler Reed, and Isabella Johnson got recognized for completing their Power of One Projects which is the first step towards a very successful FCCLA career throughout high school. ✅ Lily Hollingshead and Jaelyn West got recognized for completing their National Programs, Stand Up and Student Body. ‼️Our South Laurel High School chapter as a whole received recognition for donating towards the FCCLA Scholarship fund and for receiving GOLD on Honor Roll, which is a project we work towards achieving for the entire school year. 🏆 In our Region 13 competition of making the most contributions to the state community service goal, our chapter got 1st place and took home the trophy. 🥇
