Here's your weather update!!! In case you haven't looked outside recently.
A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN KIMBLE...
SOUTHEASTERN MENARD AND MASON COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM CDT...
At 702 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms in
southeastern Menard and northeastern Kimble counties, moving east at
25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mason, Art, Pontotoc, Loyal Valley, Yates Crossing, Saline, Streeter,
Hedwigs Hill, Hilda, Long Mountain, Grit, London, Hext, Erna, Us-
377 Near The Kimble-
Menard County Line, The Intersection Of Highway 29 And Ranch Road
1222, Us-87 Near The Mason-Gillespie County Line, and Koockville.
This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 452 and 455.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
west central Texas.
