A heartfelt thank you to the incredible volunteers from the Catholic HEART Workcamp who spent time serving the flood impacted parts of Allegany County, MD. and Mineral County, WV.

These amazing volunteers
Painted curbs along Main Street, Washington Street, and Maryland Avenue.
•Helped clean up the Westernport Heritage Society’s Williams Community Museum.
Rebuilt the handicap-accessible ramp at Creekside Park, including replacing all of the ramp boards and rebuilding one of the railings.
Cleaned up trash along Georges Creek from Lonaconing to Westernport.
Cleaned the church directory at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

One of our favorite memories from the week came from a fun local connection.
The teenagers couldn’t stop talking about Breakfast at Becky’s and were so excited that Becky actually owned the restaurant! We asked Becky if she would stop by to meet the group, and without hesitation, she said yes. The students were thrilled to meet her, and we captured the moment with a group photo that we later had framed and presented to Becky as a keepsake.
It was such a special reminder of how the simplest moments can create lasting memories and bring people together.
