Our recent meeting included Edgar, Rojelio and Erma Hernandez from our sister club in Mexico. Edgar showed us the school that we participated in improving along with other local clubs and explained the impact this had on the students and surrounding area. More work needs to be done, so future plans are in the works.

The Make a Difference Day event proved highly successful, thanks to the combined efforts of the City of Lompoc, Lompoc Rotary, and the Lompoc Interact Club, whose members are 12-18 year old Rotarians. A substantial amount of work was undertaken. RotaryDistrict5240

Rotary of Lompoc was treated to Diego Ortiz from The Nature Conservancy who spoke about The Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve. His talk was very informative and interesting. My first Rotary meeting outside our district was a resounding success! Everyone was welcoming and friendly. I had a great time! g
