The Rancho Purisima DAR would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the Wreaths Across America ceremony on December 13th. Your presence and support meant a great deal as we honored and remembered our nation’s heroes. We appreciate your participation in making the event meaningful and memorable for our community.
We are excited to announce the Wreath Match event, which began on December 13th and will continue through December 31st. During this period, every wreath sponsored will be matched, doubling the impact of your contribution and further honoring our veterans. We encourage everyone to participate and help us reach our goal to cover every veteran’s grave next year. You will not see anything about the match on the website but be assured that all wreath sponsorships that are placed on our website will be matched. And finally, if you would like to join us for wreath clean up day, that will be January 10th at 10:00 am at the cemetery. We will be working next to the containers the city provides for this, which is to your right when you enter the cemetery. Bring your work gloves and wear comfortable walking shoes. We will be deconstructing the wreaths so that all the balsam goes into green waste and the metal frames can be recycled. We have a few pairs of heavy-duty wire cutters. If you happen to have any, please do bring.
