Rent is staaaarrting to settle it seems. I've been seeing $7-800 for rooms nearby which is still way too much but suggests it may keep going lower. Anything listed for higher than that has been getting BAD reactions.

Of course the ultimate goal is abolishing landlords but that's not going to happen overnight. Something that can have an influence a little quicker is making them uncomfortable and maintaining an attitude of "Yeah, were not paying that much."

1,200 for this "studio" in the village. No cooking privileges come with this arm and leg deal, which is great because there are no grocery stores in Vandenberg anyway. Live inside someone else's house and eat snacks from the local convenience Mart for every meal for the price of a used car every month.

There's hella people in Lompoc that think they're slick, and spent money they don't have on renovation so that they can rent out a space. Then they raise the rent to an unreasonable degree to pay off the renovations and are saying it's "​market rate" like YEAH, IT IS NOW DU***SS! Good luck defaulting on your loans 😇

If you are having issues with roaches or other related pests please report this to your property manager! They have a responsibility to have treatments done and you should not be penalized or blamed for making them aware. Being aware of and exercising your rights is a crucial step worth taking as a renter.

Something to consider

Things to look for when searching for a place / property on Zillow. I like to teach my clients how to search for a good property when requesting an apartment / house approval assistance and not be scammed by these big time real estate companies or property management companies.

This picture below shows a property listing on zillow....
Look closely as 263 people applied for this property already and the property is still on the market. You mean to tell me out of 263 applications submitted, you couldn't find a good candidate? Not to mention its been online for 42 days (a month and a half).....smh seems like this company / landlord is just collecting application fees and never choosing a tenant. 😏

Let’s just say the app fee is $50, that means this company made $13,150 for the month just off applications and still no tenant. This also means they paid the rent / mortgage of $1,800 and made a profit of $11,350 🤷🏾‍♀️ AND THIS IS WHAT I CALL BEING SCAMMED LEGALLY 😩🥴 Full Story: https://bit.ly/3OPkQjt

You're reading that right. Laura is suggesting that you reimburse her for the background check.... that you have to do before you can apply to live in this box....for almost 2,000 a month...in Lompoc.


Someone that is comfortable making you bleed for practically nothing is not going to be a very attentive landlord. At least you get some plastic plants that you will probably be charged for if anything happens to them, as the "apartment" is pre furnished.
