1998 Yearbook , page 39 has a tip for the gardener:

"Better than Brushing...Garden work can be hard on the hands, especially if you don't wear gloves. Dissolve a denture-cleaning tablet in warm water and soak hands after gardening. It leaves them soft and clean."

Here's the 1996-97 yearbook!

The President was Hilda Gorman

November 8, 1996 - the program was titled, "Hooray for Small Arrangements Workshop". Bring a small container filled with oasis/needlepoint holder and scissors. Lead by Elizabeth Abler in Lake Forest.

The Lombard Garden Club Civic Committee is forever grateful to the incredible residents and volunteers who came together to make our Red, White, and Blue USA 250th birthday celebration of our Country an unforgettable experience! 🎉

The event may have ended in mid September, but the memories and sense of community will live on.

We're also deeply thankful to Hackers Garden Center, Lombard Ace Hardware, and all the local businesses who helped spread the word and make it happen.

in 2016 we celebrated 90 years of unity! We ignited a spark with LGC front yard signs for our members, and 10 years later, the flame of tradition continues to shine bright! 🎉

"Eggshell Seed Starters

Wash out the halves of large egg shells and carefully poke a small drainage hole in the bottom with a knife or darning needle. Fill with moistened growing mix and plant one seed. Store starters in egg carton until ready to set out. Gently crush shell before planting."
