Feral Fixers Feral Fixers is an organization dedicated to practicing & promoting Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)

Our Goals:

(a) To educate local governments and the public on the benefits of a Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) program in DuPage County. (b) To humanely control the population of feral cats in DuPage County, Illinois, primarily through a Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) program. (c) To provide educational resources and other assistance to feral cat colony caretakers and local veterinarians. (d) To provide coaching on TNR methods to feral cat colony caretakers and others interested in furthering the objectives of TNR. (e) To work in cooperation with other animal welfare organizations interested in furthering the objectives of TNR in DuPage County, Illinois. (f) To promote the importance of spaying and neutering for all cats, feral or non-feral. Feral Fixers offers its TNR services to all colony caretakers, without charge. While we ask for donations from colony caretakers, we recognize that for some of them, any additional cost is just too much. Therefore we rely on donations from other individuals to make up the difference and allow us to continue our work. These donations allow us to spay/neuter additional cats, keep a 'bank' of traps and trap dividers we loan out for free, hold workshops and provide other educational benefits.

October 16th has been designated as the day we bring awareness to the feral cats in our community! National Feral Cat Day was created and coincides with Global Cat Day to promote hands on efforts to improve the lives of cats in our community. Seventeen years ago, a small group of dedicated cat lovers decided that they would come together to help the lives of the cats living in and around DuPage County and Feral Fixers was born! Our mission is to improve the lives of cats by providing them with medical care including neutering and vaccinations which greatly impacts their health and helps to control the overpopulation of cats. We could not help the cats without the hands-on efforts of caretakers, trappers, other rescue organizations, DuPage County Animal Services, our dedicated volunteers and donors. We honor cats everyday by caring for them! We hope you will come to our celebration and observation of this day which will be held on Sunday October 18th from 12-3 pm at the Feral Fixers building located at 330 Eisenhower Lane N in Lombard.

Unique, outgoing, loyal, playfulfriendly and intelligent- these are just a few of the qualities attributed to tabby cats. In addition to generally being all around great cats, it's like each one is unique as they can have so many different patterns to their beautiful coats. We currently have several tabby kitties available for adoption and it's amazing that they are still hanging around looking for their forever homes. They range in age from 4-7 months and each one would make the purr-fect forever friend. Even better than adopting one tabby cat-adopt two! Come celebrate National Feral Cat Day this Sunday-October 18th from 12-3 at the Feral Fixers Building! In addition to all the delicious goodies available at the bake sale, you can also support Feral Fixers by shopping our boutique! What's worse than waking up every day dressed to the nines but not getting to go to the ball? Having your brother and sister find their forever home first while you are still waiting to find yours! Pacman is ready for his Cinderella story. Pacman is a sweet, spunky, inquisitive, playful and loving "teenage" kitten all wrapped up in an adorable tuxedo package. He is spending his days with the resident cats in his foster home but he would really love to find a home and family of his own (maybe with a resident cat???) where he can settle in. Please join us at the Feral Fixers building located at 330 Eisenhower Lane N in Lombard this Sunday, October 18th from 12-3 pm as we celebrate one of our favorite holidays -National Feral Cat Day! On this day we bring awareness to the feral cat population and our efforts to help these cats through the promotion of TNR efforts in DuPage County. Come meet other cat-loving individuals but also please stop by our bake sale and buy some treats for a cause! All donations for baked goods help to support the mission of Feral Fixers and we will have some delicious items from sweet treats to homemade sourdough loaves! We hope to see you there!

The fact that we are even still posting these two adorable, sweet and playful kittens has us scratching our heads!!! How have Winky and Winnie, the last of their litter, not been scooped up and adopted because they are the total kitten package. Winky & Winnie's mom gave birth outside but Feral Fixers saved her and her babies back in April 2026 when they were about a week old. So, they have known the love of humans since they were very small. These two are adventuresome, playful, cuddly, totally house ready and can we say adorable and gorgeous? How are people passing up an orange tabby boy and a tortie girl? But these two are ready to find their forever homes and might we add that together they are perfectly colored for the Halloween season!!

It's one of our favorite days of the year - National Feral Cat Day! Since feral cats are kind of our jam, we want to take an afternoon to celebrate them and the people who care for them! It literally takes a village (or in our case a County😹) to help our community cats live the best version of their lives whether that means getting neutered and vaccinated, to providing food and shelters or possibly bringing them inside when they decide the outdoor life is not for them.

Please come help us celebrate them by coming to the Feral Fixers building located at 330 Eisenhower Lane North in Lombard on Sunday October 18th from 12-3. We will have lots of ways for you to celebrate including a bake sale, a boutique of Feral Fixers merch and cat themed items or bring an item from our wish list to help the cats we care for. Spend some time chatting with other cat-loving people while helping the feral cats of DuPage County!

Howdy I’m Arlis! I’m a light grey tabby boy born in April 2026.

I’m a sweet personality in a small energetic package. Sometimes it feels like I’m the baby of the group because I love to be carried around. I’m a little kitty shadow because I want to know what you are doing and be a part of the action. If I stick close by, I’m much more likely to catch your attention for pets and snuggles and I love that! TV time or humans taking a break- I’m right there to keep them company by snuggling in their lap. I can be a little talker. I’ll meow to let you know I’m around and also for my food if you might have forgotten that it’s time for breakfast or dinner. I’m like a little kitty dinner bell! Don’t mind my one cloudy eye because I sure don’t. I’ve had it since I was a wee baby and everyone tells me it’s just cosmetic. I get along with cats, dogs and respectful kids and I would love to be adopted with one of my siblings.

All cats & kittens are up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and tested FeLV/FIV negative. All kittens are living in foster homes in DuPage County and arrangements will be made to meet them after a brief application is reviewed. Adoption fee is a $110 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together, $175 for a pair. A contract will be required at the time of adoption.

Hi! I’m Artie and I’m just so excited to find my forever home. I’m a little black puma boy born in April 2026.

I’m an inquisitive adventurer who starts the day ready for action. I’m the first of my crew to bound out and greet my foster mom. I’m excited to play but mostly I am trying to be the first to get pets and cuddles because there’s no better way to start the day! I’ve never met a toy I didn’t like. Pull out the wands and I’ll chase them all about. Balls and kick toys work too but there’s nothing better than playing with my pals. I love the bigger friends in my foster home and you will often find me following around the big kitties or puppies who live with me. There’s more of them to cuddle up with. I hope you’ll think about adopting me with one of my brothers or sisters but I’m also good with dogs, cats and respectful kids.
