Big Changes Coming for 2026 Child-Only Health Insurance in Illinois 💙

If your child currently has Medicaid and you’re thinking about getting a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) plan starting January 1, 2026, here’s what you should know

BASICS:
Think of health insurance like a safety blanket that helps cover doctor visits, medicine, therapy, and hospital care. For 2026, that blanket is getting more expensive—prices are expected to go up about 25-30% across Illinois.

Why the change?
The state is moving to its own Marketplace called Get Covered Illinois, and with medical costs rising, premiums are adjusting too.

When can you shop?
Open Enrollment starts November 1, 2025. That’s when families can finally see new prices, plan designs, and subsidies (the discounts that help lower monthly costs).

What you can do now:
✅ Gather proof of income (like pay stubs or your tax return)
✅ Keep your Medicaid letter handy (if your child is losing coverage)
✅ Make a list of your child’s doctors and therapists so we can check networks
✅ Message me to join my interest list — I’ll notify you the moment new rates and plans drop!

My goal is to help families transition smoothly from Medicaid to affordable coverage, especially when therapies or specialists are involved.

Today is Sensory Sunday! 🤫🦕

Every 3rd Sunday of the month we keep our entire 15,000 sq. ft. animatronic dinosaur park quiet and still from 10am-12pm.

We are also proud to announce our partnership with Rockin’ the Spectrum. They will be joining us every Sensory Sunday with their Sensory tent activities. We also have exclusive sensory activities just for today!
