Troop 202 - Lombard

Did you know one of the coolest things about scouting is that it offers youth the opportunity to try new learning new skills? At our Annual Planning Meeting our Scouts asked to go Rock Climbing and had so much fun they want to go back for more! While a few of our Scouts already have the Climbing Merit Badge some do not. So we listened, have already talked to a Counselor, and are booking this Merit Badge addition to our Winter Calendar. If you know a boy ages 10-17 that might like to try to learn some new skills, make new friends, and have fun doing so email us at [email protected]. Our Scouts have chosen Leatherworking, Climbing, and Skating Merit Badges that are coming up soon on our calendar!

Camp life is the best life! From Forging to Fun, Camp-Wide Games to Flags, Bike rides to Campfires, Dining Hall Shenanigans to Impromptu Photoshoots, ATV trail rides to Karaoke, Interfaith Prayer Services to more time at the Waterfront, and so much more. We are staying busy and having a blast!

Camp life is keeping us busy!!! In the water and on land..from boats to swimming, from Merit Badge classes to Astronomy hikes, from Cowboy Action Shooting to hanging out by the Trading Post. Each day has had its own new opportunities and fun being together. Yesterday, a few of our scouts elected to have a Troop Climbing excursion with the help of the High Adventure Camp Staff. Each Scout (or leader) that wanted to participate was fitted for gear, trained, and practiced during their free time in preparation. Then we headed off into the woods for a new adventure! 🏊🚣🌠🤠⚜️🧗

Toddy is the 1st day of Merit Badges but we've already had a great time! We've setup camp, explored, cooked, cleaned, worked on skills, met new friends, played some games, and settled in all before Program kicked off with the Opening Campfire. Now we are learning, getting into the Summer Camp routine, and creating some memories. Looking forward to more fun and our week ahead!
