Sad to say that this Loganville Chapter is no longer in operation😢 The good news is there’s a New Chapter opened in Lawrenceville šŸ˜€ come check us out..

Proverbs 3:1
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Don’t forget; Judy tells me that all the time, don’t For get to get.....before you come home. She reminds me of something we need at the House, she has already told me she want to make sure I don’t forget. In verse one we are reminded not to forget God’s law.
We were told back in chapter 2 to hide God’s commandments.

Proverbs 2:1
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

Why are these commandments so important? First to keep God’s commandments one must first receive them (God’s Word) then we’re are told not to forget them. Why? Because they will be very beneficial to us; length of days, long life, peace, shall God’s law add to us. Wow Receive, Hide, Keep now I understand why they want them removed. Remove them we can’t receive them because we are not seeing them therefore no peace in our lives.

In Pittsburgh there’s a mother who doesn’t believe in God and has taught the same to her child, now she wants the 10 Commandments removed from School grounds. The marker was placed there in 1957, sixty years that marker has stood and now one mother and her child wants it removed. The sad thing is they are going to remove it. Who cares how the multitude feels we have two that’s upset; someone should have just said ā€œreally lady if you don’t like it go somewhere else.ā€ But no, let’s don’t upset this poor fool.
Psalms 14:1
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

The New Kensington-Arnold School District says it’s removing the six-foot granite marker as part of a settlement with the group that went to court challenging the religious display on school property.

The challenge was filed by a student and her atheist mother in 2012.

Who wants to go to a school where there’s a red flag that says everyday DON’T COMMIT FORNICATION, DON’T STEAL, DON’T LYE?? Why would anyone want to go to school where there’s peace?
That’s why God said ā€œDon’t Forget.ā€

STORIES OF VICTOR

Dear Brother/ Sister in Christ at RU:

I don’t know who will read this letter and I’m sure it will be like hundreds of others you have received; but, I must praise the Lord and give glory to our Heavenly Father for RU?and everyone who has had a part in it now and through the years!
Matthew 25:40 says: ā€œAnd the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.ā€
I have been saved for 33 years. My father was a pastor and I couldn’t have asked for better, more loving, godly parents! I worked in and for different ministries in Michigan, then moved to Cleveland, TN to serve in a local missionary group. I went through several trials and afflictions and became very depressed, apathetic, and only going through outward motions of Christianity. I even began to doubt my salvation. I experienced some severe medical issues, financial issues and the death of both of my parents after caring for them during long, devasting suffering illnesses. I came to the place where I planned and prepared to end my life.
But the Lord never gave up on me! One Sunday evening my pastor focused on the RU ministry chapter that we have in our church. The Holy Spirit convicted me and I knew the Lord wanted me to go to RU. My pride did battle against the Holy Spirit because I didn’t want the people at church to know that I needed RU! Well, the pastor asked those who would commit to going to RU just one time??to raise their hands, so I thought I could go one time. ?I went in December of 2010 and when our chapter director gave his testimony, I was overwhelmed with the love, compassion and hope being offered to me!?? Well, as you know, it’s not any gimmick or ā€œprogramā€ that is offered but an opportunity to develop a one-on-one, daily, abundant life with Christ. I had gained Victory in my life.
I can’t begin to convey my gratitude for the joy and peace and unending blessings & victory like I’ve never experienced before. Thank you to everyone at RU for your love and labor on behalf of myself and countless others! In closing, I want to praise the Lord for our chapter director, Bro. Wade Pope, who attended the Residential Treatment Center there in Illinois. He had the privilege of learning directly from Bro. Curington, the local church and workers in Rockford. Bro. Wade and his wife, Brandy, are among the finest, wisest, and loving leaders that I could ever hope to have.
I, too, can say as the Psalmist did in Psalm 126: ā€œWhen the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our month filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen the Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.ā€

We choose to sin because we give more weight to the pleasure of sin than we do the consequences of sin. We would never decide to sin if we clearly saw the sorrow, the corruption, and the consequences as being more than the pleasure it offers.

If we truly believed that God could meet every need addiction promises to meet, and satisfy every desire addiction tries to satisfy, we would despise sin and get consumed with loving and serving God.

When contemplating whether or not to enter a season of sinful pleasure, it is crucial to maintain a Biblically accurate view of both sin and serving God. Why? Because our beliefs are at the root of both addictive and godly behavior.

Old School:

Proverbs 9:17
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

When I was a young boy I ate some candy in secret. Let me explain; my mom and dad would put us to bed early; or I thought it was early back then. Well not long after my brother and I had been put to bed I would hear some kind of paper rattling. I would hear this a little to often, so I began to pay a little more attention to it. This is what I discovered. Just before I would hear that rattle my dad would go into the hall closet; which was right by my bedroom and get something out then I would hear that rattle. One day I was all alone in the house and I thought I would find out just what was happening after my brother and I were put to bed. I walked down the hall opened the closet door and began my search. It didn't take long before my eyes saw a 5 pound box of Russell Stovers candies. I just couldn't help myself; I was just going to look at first. I opened the box and looked inside, wow there was lot of candy in that box. Then I had this thought one peace will not be missed! Boy that was good I think I'll have another. That was it I didn't want to ruin my find, I would now enjoy this little secret with my mom and dad. But something happened somebody was making to many secret candy runs and the candy was disappearing way to fast. Was my mom and dad enjoying to much candy? Oh no it was me that had been enjoying to much candy. I told myself that I needed to back off but myself refused to listen, this secret was about to be uncovered.
That's the way thing happen, sin enters into our lives; its a thought and the more one thinks on it the closer it comes to becoming an action. We just don't realize the difficulty of trying to stop when we start. Where are the brakes? It was easy enough to find the accelerator but the brakes not so. We can come up with the right thinking to justify our wrong thinking. You know, it's really hard to stay married in my situation." "It's really hard to keep s*x inside the fence of marriage." "It's hard to tell the truth in my situation." We think it's going to cost too much to do the right thing. "It's going to be hard not to be unequally yoked. I really love this girl/I really love this guy." "It's hard to honor my parents right now. Doctor Bob Jones said it this way " you can never to do wrong to do right, Do right until the stars fall." God has the answers for every situation we will find ourselves in.

It's really hard to stay married in my situation. It's really hard to keep s*x inside the fence of marriage.
Really? What went wrong? Both said I love you, and will until death do us part! WHAT HAPPENED!

Exodus 20:14
Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Proverbs 5:18
Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
19 Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.

It's hard to tell the truth in my situation.

Exodus 20:16
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

It's going to be hard not to be unequally yoked. I really love this girl/I really love this guy.

II Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness.

It's hard to honor my parents right now. You don't have too it will only make your life shorter if you don't.

Exodus 20:12
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Oh that's old school????? Well I call it Gods school but have it your way. Old school or not 2+2=4 maybe old school, but it's always right.

Credentials:

ā€œ I wouldn’t just be happy to help someone; I’d be honored.ā€
Our pain can become our credentials to answer hurting lives.
1972 I was discharged after spending 4 years in the Air Force. When I got back home I had picked up some bad things drugs, alcohol and a foul mouth just to name a few. By 1973 things we're spinning out of control. The love of my life, My dear wife had left me and taken our only child. She was tried of my foolishness; we had nothing. One day I decided to go to Church in hopes of painting a picture of a man who was wanting to change. In reality I just wanted to make everyone believe that. But that Sunday morning in April just before Easter the Lord made Himself real to me and I asked Him to forgive me and He did. I walked out of that Church a changed person. Thirty-one years later God placed me with those who are fighting the same demons. I can't say I know how others feel or even say I know where you're at. But I can say I was in a place much similar to your's and this is what made the difference "Jesus Christ." I also know that what He's done for me He'll do for you. You see Thomas was a doubter until he saw the hands of Jesus.

John 20:24
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25- The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

I have heard this saying more than I'd like "Hurting people hurt people." That may be true but I have seen and experienced this "Those that have been abused help those who have been abused." "Those who have been hurt help others who are hurting." God uses those that sin has wrecked their life to help those in sin to be made free.

ā€œI get to keep my foot.ā€ The outdoors enthusiast was rescued after a 1.5-ton boulder shifted and trapped her foot as she hiked out from climbing the Selkirk Mountains granite spire east of Priest Lake in Idaho. Crushed for nine hours by the boulder in 35 degree weather she knows the importance of being recused. Four months later, her foot has mostly healed from from the Boulder although nerve damage is still an issue. The young lady of 36 has decided to join up with the rescue team to help others. Here we go "Rescued people help rescue people."

That's why I'm not just happy to help someone I'm honored.ā€
My pain has become my credentials to help hurting lives.

Don't be Ignorant:

I Corinthians 10:12
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Just before this verse we are give examples so we want fall into temptation.

We are first told not to be IGNORANT.

I Corinthians 10:1
Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

We are told NOT TO LUST AFTER EVIL THINGS.

I Corinthians 10:6
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

We are instructed not to be IDOLATERS.

I Corinthians 10:7
Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

Don't commit FORNICATION

I Corinthians 10:8
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

Don't TEMPT CHRIST.

I Corinthians 10:9
Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

Don't MURMUR

1 Corinthians 10:10
Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING WARNING!!!!!
Don't think you can handle it because I nor you can't.

Don't underestimate temptation and don't over-estimate your strength.
Maybe it's flirting, playing around. With the attitude of I can handle this. Maybe it's compromise; just a little want hurt; you never expect to end up trapped, or pinned, or hurt. The reason you did is you thought you knew more than Christ could that be the sin of tempting Christ? Pay attention to the examples given to us they are there for our admonition (Admonition- Gentle reproof; counseling against a fault; instruction in duties; caution; direction)

By pass them and you'll get in trouble I guarantee it!

3- Blessings of 1 Chronicles 16

It's been a busy day for David. We read in verse one that the ark of God was placed in a tent that David had set up for it. Then they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God. Then after that David BLESSED the people in the name of the Lord.
_______________________________________
For my Preacher Friends:
THE BLESSING OF RESTORING: V-2
THE BLESSINGS OF REJOICING: V-36
THE BLESSING OF REFESHING: V-43
_________________________________________

1 Chronicles 16:2
And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.

Then David sings a song of thanks verse 8-36

1 Chronicles 16:8
Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

As David ends this song of thanks he ends it using the word BLESSED.

Then they Worship before the Ark. After all is said and done we are told that every man departed to his house. It's been a hard day at work. I know a lot of good things were done and I'm sure every man is tried, every man is headed home. We are not told what every man did when they got home. We are not told how they reacted to their families. Not sure if they walked in the door found their favor chair and set down and demanded that their family members served them or not.

This could easily fit into our daily active. I mean you left before daylight, had to listen to those you worked around complain all day. May it was you that spent most of your day putting out small fires and giving words of encouragement. Maybe the stress of the day was awful and you can't wait to get home, just to sit down in that recliner. The drive home; oh my it was terrible. As good of a day that David had I am sure he was tried and looking forward to getting home and sitting down and taking the load off and recuperating. You Think? Oh no and here's the lesson to be learned. We are told this.

1 Chronicles 16:43
And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.

David returned home to BLESS his family. David wasn't preoccupied with himself, he didn't returned home to rest, or to recover, or to get his needs met. It says, to bless his family. That's a great example for all of us, this selfless attitude; this others attitude when you get home no matter what the battles of the day have been. When David got home he set a climate of caring, and giving, listening, unselfishness.

What an example for ME to follow! Help me Lord, to follow what you took time out of your busy schedule to teach me this morning.

Excuse my French:

Proverbs 13:2
A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth:
but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
3- He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

As I read this chapter the word "MOUTH" jumped out at me. Webster says this about the word "MOUTH" The aperture in the head by which words are uttered by voice and receives food.
We see that in verse 2 "A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth:"
Watch what you say with our mouth "He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:"

Now in. verse 2 I am not told to eat fruit oh no it's the fruit of my mouth. That doesn't really doesn't sound right. Until you remember this verses.
Matthew 12:34
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

The fruit of my mouth is what is going on in my heart. If I'm allowing good things to dwell in my heart then good fruit will come out. It I allow bad things to dwell in my heart then the same will be the fruit that comes out. Ever heard a word come out of ones mouth and then they say, where did that come from? Or excuse my French? Well all that is, it's just harvest time of the heart.
Keeping my mouth is when I only allow good things into my heart.
Proverbs 4:23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

For I and I alone are the keeper of the keys!

You are the keeper of the keys
You are the Guard at the Gate
Waiting in line to go through that door
Is LOVE. And also HATE.
In line to enter is GENTLE PEACE.
And also VIOLENT WAR.
You must choose who may, and who
May not come through the door.
INTOLERANCE tries to sneak on through
On wings of FEAR, or PRIDE.
It hides behind DREAMS of BELONGING,
And tries to sneak inside.
Oh! Be alert! You’re the Guard who decides
Who GOES and who may STAY
You are The Keeper of the Keys to your Mind.
WHO WILL YOU LET IN TODAY?

What will I allow in?????? That's what will come out!!!!!

Who's your 911 Person?

In Proverbs 12:1 we read these words "Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge:" Anyone that loves discipline loves to learn. The problem is some don't want to be disciplined nor corrected. We all, including myself like to think we're doing the right thing at the time. In this same chapter we read in verse 15 "he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise." Good instruction brings knowledge and the one that listen to Godly counsel is a wise person. How do I handle the feelings of grief, anger, desperation, and feeling of being alone? If I hold them inside of me there will come a day when an explosion will come. It may be like Mount St. Helen's, the explosion didn't last long. What was blown away is forever gone. So how do I keep this destruction from becoming a reality? I must face the fact that I get angry. There's real grief that comes into my life as well as desperation. Yes the feelings of being alone even while there are all kinds of loving people around me come too. Here is how I handle it. I get on FB and let all my feelings out so others will know how I feel. As well as the ones who have made me feel this way will know as well. NO, NO, NO!!! That will never help, it will only cause more problems. Instead I have a 911 person; yes you read it right a 911 person. I'm so grateful I have my "911" person. He's the one I've been able to trust with feelings I didn't dare tell anyone. Who has calmed my frantic soul when nothing and no one else could. Who's pointed me to hope when it looked like there was no hope. How does one bind up the brokenhearted? Proclaim liberty to the captives? How does one open the prison to them that are bound? Is it even possible? You see my 911 person is Jesus for He loved me enough to die on a cross for me. Jesus who was powerful enough to walk out of His grave and conquer the biggest monster of all death. HE is big enough to handle all the problems I'll ever have. David, the man after Gods on heart said it like this.
I Samuel 30:6
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

David called his 911 person! the more broken I've been, the closer He has seemed. No one enjoys the storms that come our way but I must always remember there's never been a winter without a spring. Or a sunset without a sunrise. We need someone with perspective and that one is Jesus.
Don't let the pressure built up. Don't hide your feelings for like the pressure cooker when the steam fills the pot it's coming out the top.

Knock, Knock

Warren Sallman; that name may not ring a bell, but what he did in 1853 will. He's the artist that painted the picture of Jesus Christ standing out side a door knocking. The painting portrays the story of Jesus knocking at ones heart door. Let me come in. If you look closely you'll see there's no door k**b. It's plainly telling all who view it that the door must be willingly opened from within. When I think of this picture my mind goes back to a night in Bethlehem and a door that was knocked on. It was opened by the Inn Keeper which had to say I'm sorry there no room.
Luke 2:7
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Wonder if this could explain why we fail to open our hearts; no room! Maybe we're to busy making a living? Maybe our business is in trouble? Maybe we are meaning to but we keep putting it off for a more convenient time? Or maybe we have this missed conception and we say to ourselves I've done Christian things, I've gone to Christian meetings, I've believed the Christian beliefs, and I've developed a Christian image, but could it be you've never really opened the door of your heart to the Savior who died for you?
What if on that night in Bethlehem the Inn Keeper would have said " there's no room, but wait a minute you can have my room!" But he like so many, for whatever reason just don't open their heart door.
It's Christmas Day and we are celebrating the birth of our Savor Jesus Christ and I can think of no better day or time to open your hearts door and let Jesus come in.
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
That's a promise, open up He comes in!
