What a powerful Thursday morning at Loganville Rotary Club! ☕
We were honored to have Lee Wood bring a thought-provoking message on one of the most important roles any of us will ever fill — being a parent, grandparent, or caregiver to the children in our lives.
Lee challenged us to plan ahead in our relationships with our kids, grounding it in Luke 14:28 — count the cost before you build. Intentional parenting doesn't happen by accident. It starts with a plan.
He also offered a perspective on discipline that reframes the whole conversation. Rather than simply punishment, Lee defined it as:
"Training, instruction, and guidance through the application of truth and principles — with the result being the disciple having the tools and wisdom of how to use them to successfully function in the realm in which they are being taught."
That's not punishment. That's investment. 💛
And when children understand expectations and consequences in advance, as Melanie Rawn wrote, a choice made with full knowledge is a conscious and informed choice — and that's where real growth begins.
Lee gave us a lot to think about — and a lot to go home and put into practice.
This is Rotary at its best. 🔵

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their sacrifice is the foundation of our nation, and their courage will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also take a moment to honor the heroes who paid the ultimate price in service to our country. 🇺🇸

11th Annual Loganville Wing Fling -

A fun family event for all ages, the 2026 Loganville Wing Fling festival pits the chicken wing culinary skills of cooking aficionados from all around the greater Loganville area in a feat of daring and delectable bravado to see who will triumph in a tasters test of fortunate judges who brave the fresh air and sunshine, while their kids have a great time using up energy on extreme fun attractions that will keep them busy for hours. Nobody leaves hungry!

What a morning at Loganville Rotary! 🌟
We had the privilege of hearing from entrepreneur, community servant, and all-around inspiring human — Jim Bonner — at today's meeting, and we left with full hearts and a lot to think about.
Jim shared his incredible journey of building businesses, facing setbacks, and coming back stronger — all while keeping faith, family, and serving others at the center of everything. His reminder that "when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change" is one we'll be carrying with us long after today.
From goal-setting wisdom to the power of perspective, Jim gave us more than a talk — he gave us a challenge to live and lead with intention. Thank you, Jim, for pouring into our club this morning. We're grateful! 🙏

We had the privilege of hearing from Tomas Szepsi, the current Georgia Rotary Student sponsored by our local Rotary Clubs, at this morning’s meeting—and what an inspiring time it was.
Tomas shared his experiences studying here in the United States, his time on the UGA campus, and the valuable lessons he’s gained along the way. It’s always incredible to hear how programs like this create meaningful connections, broaden perspectives, and equip future leaders to take what they’ve learned back home and make a lasting impact.

We had a great meeting this morning at the Rotary Club of Loganville!
A big thank you to our guest speaker, Jeff Roesler with the GBI, for sharing valuable insights into how the Georgia Bureau of Investigation works alongside local and state law enforcement agencies to combat crime and keep our communities safe.
One of the key takeaways was understanding the three primary drivers behind much of today’s criminal activity: s*x, drugs, and money. It was an eye-opening and informative discussion that gave us all a deeper appreciation for the work being done behind the scenes.
