was established in July of 2003 in Boston Ma, by Roy “Too Strong" Gows and Shana "First lady" McKinney- Gows. The name Tuskegee Airmen was initially selected to pay homage and to assist in maintaining the legacy of these African American heroes’ military contributions. It was where he learned the laws and rules of biking. After a 3 year stay with the Soldiers, Too Strong took a 2 year leave from r
iding. During the 2 year leave he had the pleasure of meeting a retired Tuskegee Airmen, Willis Saunders. After speaking with Airmen Willis Saunders, Too Strong began doing research on the Tuskegee Airmen. The history he found peaked his interest so much he asked to be allowed to attend a Tuskegee Airmen Inc. During the meeting at Charles AME Church in Roxbury Ma. Too Strong listened to the history, the trials and tribulations and the triumphs of these American Heroes. It was after the meeting one of the members expressed to Too Strong that they needed young associate members like him to assist with helping to maintain the legacy. After the meeting Too Strong began to think of how could he help with assisting TAI in maintaining the legacy. He then thought of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club. He then began the work to form a Motorcycle Club called Tuskegee Airmen Motorcycle Club. Too Strong began to work on designing the patch that would best represent the Tuskegee Airmen and the motorcycle club without infringing on another bike group's colors. The patch would be three colors, Red that would represent the Red Tail and Nose of the P-51, Gray would represent the silver body of the P-51 and Black would represent the first Black African Americans to fly. The process would take a few months. Too Strong began contacting the Tuskegee Airmen Incorporation National Office and meeting with the National President Tes Spooner to explain what his intentions were. After some time and with help from TAI President Kendrick Harris and Vice President Jennifer Myers from the TAI Charles McGee Chapter, the Tuskegee Airmen Motorcycle Club Boston MA. would be formed and pave the way for other Airmen chapters to come. The very first chapter opened in Boston MA. The chapter was comprised of 95% law enforcement officers and other professional members from our community.
