A little rain wasn't going to stop us from spreading some cheer! 💐

Brenda and Christy were out delivering beautiful bouquets donated by Sunnyside Dreams Farm to local farm families. Along the way, we shared some great conversations, plenty of smiles, and a little kindness.

Sometimes it's the simple things that mean the most. ❤️

Beans, corn, and hay are all ready. And somehow, it all needs to be done right now. 🌽🚜

Harvest season means long days, late nights, and a to-do list that never seems to end.

Give yourself permission to stop for a few minutes. Eat. Drink water. Sit down. Get some sleep.

Rest isn’t wasted time. It helps you work safer, think clearer, and keep going.

Take care of yourself like you take care of the equipment. You matter, too.

Today, we celebrate the farmers, farm workers, ranchers, and producers who work long hours, care for their land and animals, and help keep our rural communities strong.

We know agriculture isn't always easy. Behind every farm is a story of hard work, dedication, challenges, and resilience.

💚 Today, take a moment to thank someone in agriculture. Better yet, reach out and check in. A simple thank you, phone call, or conversation can mean more than you know.

Thank you for all you do. And remember, no one farms alone.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲: 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀

Eight years ago today, our farming community lost Leon Statz.

Leon was a farmer, husband, father, friend and neighbor. His life mattered. His absence is still felt by the people who knew and loved him.

Leon’s death by su***de was also part of what brought people in our community together and ultimately led to the creation of Farmer Angel Network.

Today, we remember Leon. We also recognize Brenda and the Statz family, who have so generously allowed Leon’s story to be shared. Their willingness to speak openly about their experience has helped start conversations that were once much harder to have in our farming communities.

Eight years later, that work continues.

We keep talking about mental health.
We keep checking on our neighbors.
We keep connecting farmers and families with help.
And we keep working toward a farming community where no one has to carry the hard things alone.

Leon will always be part of the story of Farmer Angel Network, and we are grateful to everyone who continues to carry this work forward in his memory.

Join Farmer Angel Network and Sauk County Farm Bureau for a hands-on morning preparing fall soups and casseroles to take home for later.

Your registration includes:
- Recipes and ingredients, except the meat you’ll add at home
- Freezer bags and bag holder
- An insulated bag to take your meals home
- Tips for simple, make-ahead, family-friendly meals

Please bring: a can opener, paring knife and cutting board.
