I finally dared to hold a live snake. I was scared during the first attempt (pictures 1 and 2), but I got the courage on the second attempt (pictures 3 and 4).

One thing I learned about snakes is that not all are venomous, and they don't like being touched on the head.

Warning: Since you can't differentiate venomous and non-venomous snakes, please don't play with them. The event where I touched the snake was Science Unwrapped, with the snake on display for everyone to touch, and it was not venomous.

I finally had the time to put together a summary of my trip to China.

It felt good to be back and present my MSc research where I did it. Seeing all of you again in Wuhan, Changsha, and Yueyang was worth it. I missed everyone, and I wouldn't have felt fulfilled coming to China without seeing you all.

To everyone I met at the conference, it was an honor meeting you. Till we see each other again, bye-bye for now.

I want to specially thank my funding sources, without whom I wouldn't have attended the conference.

We went hiking today at an elevation of 8907ft in preparation of our upcoming fieldwork. We used to the opportunity to iNat, collect specimen and learnt how to press them.
