Please come downtown at 6 p.m. to cheer for folks in recovery and their families as they walk through town. There’s always plenty to moan about how drugs have attacked and destroyed our communities. This is a time to support and encourage people who have made their way out of the clutches of addiction.

🥁🇺🇸 SAVE A LIFE DAY & ANNUAL RECOVERY WALK! 🇺🇸🥁

Today is the day! SAVE A LIFE DAY takes place at nine locations throughout Logan County today, Thursday, September 24, from 10 AM to 2 PM, offering FREE Narcan and more.

Then, later today, join us from 4 PM to 7 PM on the “Grassy Area” at the town entrance on Dingess Street in Logan, WV, across from the Marathon Gas Station, for an evening of community, entertainment, hope, remembrance, and recovery!

🕙 Save A Life Activities: 10 AM - 2 PM
📍 Recovery Walk Activities: Logan, WV — 4 PM - 7 PM
🚶 Recovery Walk Begins: 6 PM

This annual event is open to the public! Everyone is encouraged to come out and show your support.

The winning ticket and the fastest duck! As you can see by the fact that her numbers aren’t sharp, this duck has participated in more than one of our races. Dairy Delight, as she is named, is ready to retire now that she has proven herself to be a winner, happy to make her home with Tim and his family.

The Racing Ducks held a Prayer Breakfast this morning. The Racing Duck Choir sang “I’ll Fly Away” and ended with “Shall We Gather at the River”. A procession to the Guyandotte then occurred.
We’ll be broadcasting the race LIVE. Check back around 10 to see the race and learn which of our friends and neighbors sponsored the winning duck!

During our numbering of the ducks yesterday, Dr. Amanda Whitman Curry and Gunnar Curry (both are Lions) from Grand Cat Central volunteered their services to check our racing ducks for any potential health issues. Unfortunately, Andre the Giant Duck tried to sneak in again. He says his issues are hormonal. Doc and Gunnar aren’t buying it. No surprise here - For about the 10th year in a row Andre is out of the race.

The race is tomorrow, so may the best LEGAL racing duck win!
