Little Bloomsbury Foundation

Little Bloomsbury Foundation We promote peace and hope in an uncertain world through productive reformation using art, music, literature, magic, and storytelling. Dr. Brenda C.

Little Bloomsbury Annual Celebration of Art, Literature, and Music, which started as a housewarming party in a turn-of-the-century home below Logan Temple, gives fellow citizens a reason to step into the unknown and feel good about themselves for doing so. The unknown spoken of here is not darkness but light, not criticism but recognition; for light could be just as frightening as darkness if we a

re not used to it. It is a privilege to help create validating experiences for artists of all backgrounds and ages. Through their work we hope to stimulate positive action in strengthening ourselves, our families, and nation. As a non-profit we become strengthened when we reach out to other service organizations with the same goal. We have collaborated with Engineers Without Borders, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Utah Storytelling Guild, The Adoption Exchange, Habitat for Humanity, and Boy and Girls Club as their Community Service Partners. We are proud to be the Official Organizer of the August 7 – 9, 2014 County Fair Art Show and are excited to launch our 2015 art festival on “What Dreams are Made of” to showcase the outstanding art of those who care and dare to dream. We encourage leaders in arts organizations and in elementary, middle, high school, and college arts education to make participation in the April 23 – 25, 2015 Ninth Annual Little Bloomsbury Art Festival a school/community project. At Little Bloomsbury Foundation we strive to be “productive reformists” by employing art, music, literature, magic, and storytelling to promote self-reliance and community building. The goal is to increase our preparedness as a community to survive and thrive in an uncertain world. In particular, we hope that our activities can help the young chosen generation become more equipped to lead and guide in times of uncertainty. The Foundation is named after Bloomsbury Group, notable for its collection of works by writers Virginia & Leonard Woolf, painters Roger Fry and Duncan Grant, psychologist Adrian Stephen, and economist John Maynard Keynes. Bloomsbury is a stone’s throw from London School of Economics (LSE), my alma mater.
