Did you know it's National 4-H Week?!

Here at the Bastian Agricultural Center, we are celebrating the impact of 4-H and the skills, experiences and opportunities that help young people become ready for whatever comes next.

Meet Evie from Beaver County! 🍀

“Without 4-H, my life would be drastically different. I am who I am today because of the people and the experiences I’ve had through 4-H. It has helped me grow so much, not because it was easy but because it was hard. It has shown me that I can overcome my challenges, and it’s given me so much confidence in myself.”



Meet Juliet from Davis County! 🍀

“4-H is fun because you make connections with lots of people. It grows my confidence and I’m able to learn so many skills that you need in life. Something that motivates me to stay in 4-H is know that I will keep growing, even when my life gets busy.”



Meet Carter from Carbon County! 🍀

“I choose to stay in 4-H because of the connections I’ve made and because there’s always a place to grow. One way that I’ve grown because of 4-H is in leadership. I’ve gone from being kind of shy to being more open and able to teach lessons in front of people and taking higher responsibilities upon myself.”

“Without 4-H, I think I would still be a really shy kid. I would not have all of the knowledge I have, I would not have as many friends, and I would not get all of the opportunities that I get every day.”

“I love to learn and grow and try new things. In 4-H one of the biggest things I’ve learned from leadership is that when you meet new people it helps you grow because you have to learn how to connect with them even though they might be different.”
