Coalfield Shooters Association (CSA) Coalfield Shooters Association's home range located on Schoolhouse Hollow Rd, Jerry West Hy, Rt 73 Logan WV. We have affiliation with the USPSA and NRA.

Membership is $75.00 per year. Our USPSA Match is 2nd Sunday of every Month except if that is a holiday and registration starts at 10am with a price of $10 a round plus a $5 range fee and we shoot two rounds. First round starts at 11am

We are a non-profit shooting club. Our objectives are:

(a) To encourage organized shooting among citizens of the United States residing in our community with a view toward a better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms as well as improved marksmanship. (b) To forward the development of the characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism. (c) To maintain an affiliation with the National Rifle Association and USPSA.

Range closed Friday, October 9, 2026 at noon for USPSA setup. Range will reopen after the match is concluded Saturday.

For about ten years now our CSA dues has been $75.00 per year. Everything has gone up and we have been able to survive with that but no longer. As of 1 January 2027 our dues will be $120.00 per year, starting October 1 a new member can join for $150.00. This will cover the rest of this year and all of next year. No we do not sell monthly membership, we treat membership just like your hunting license Jan-Dec. This has been a hard decision to make but if we want to add to our range it is long overdue. Thanks to all who join and support our right to own and enjoy our toys at a great safe place. Currently members that wish to renew can mail a check for $120.00 to CSA, 3 Terrace Dr, Logan WV 25601.

The 09/12/26 classifier match is in the books. Great day. Little soggy but well worth it. Thanks to all those who helped make it happen.

Friday, September 11, 2026 range shut down at 11:00 for USPSA set up and will reopen after the match ends on the 12th.

If you’ve never seen USPSA shooting, come check it out. Eye and ear protection mandatory while shooting is conducted.

Members, we have new (lightly used) furring strips (sticks you staple targets to) under the bench on the main range. Don’t staple the painted ends, as that end goes in the target stand.

Also, some people like to leave lightly used targets for others to use, and that’s a generous gesture. However, try not to leave paper and / or cardboard where they will get wet and disintegrate. Try not to leave too many used targets, as that becomes garbage. Throw well used targets away or take them with you. I will see about rehabilitating some of our target stands, too.

We want to offer a reasonably well kept and safe place to shoot. We all play a part in that. Improvements coming in 2027 and the next few years.

USPSA Classifier Match - Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Six or seven classifiers. This is great for unclassified people wanting to take the RO class in November.

$15 to shoot the match one time.
There is also a $5 range fee applied to non-members.

To shoot twice, a club member pays $30.
To shoot twice, a non-member pays $35.
