Mab, Queen of Air and Darkness, has two brothers - Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden (Harry), and Gentleman John Marcone (Johnny). They were caught more than a week before Mab, and while they're friendlier than she is, they still need some dedicated work to tame up and be adoptable. Mab is quite popular, based on the comments and messages I've received, but all three need to be fostered to have the best chance at being adoptable.

We did get a litter in last week. I am in fact full but sometimes I say yes because another rescue (or in this case animal control) asked. So here's the six newcomers. I named them after the techs and one of the doctors at the vet I use. They are 5ish weeks old, and won't be available for adoption for some time. They're still a little bit hissy, but they are small and easily grabable and they'll tame up quickly.

I had three people reach out to me just yesterday about kittens that are suffering and dying. Details about the suffering that occurs are frequently shared with me, and y'all have no idea how hearing about day in and day out affects me. I understand the need to share with someone who will understand your pain, but you are one of many people sharing your pain with me, and I am one singular person reading all of your messages.

I am struggling today. There are 35 cats in my house and I am overwhelmed. I cannot take more cats, even if they are suffering and dying to nature or human cruelty. I am judged for not helping, but if I helped all of them and got so overwhelmed that I couldnt take care of them all, I would be judged for that as well.

You can't win in cat rescue - there will always be more dying babies and more upset people and more people who think we'll run out of the kittens if they spay their pets.

Today is one of those days where I want to throw in the towel and just give up, but I know I won't and I know I can't and I'll just go cry to my therapist about it next week and keep on going. Here is Gizmo, one of seven bottle babies we took a couple weeks ago, as tax for reading my whiny post.

Mab, Queen of Air and Darkness, has finally joined the chat! Her brothers, Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden and Gentleman Johnny Marcone, were happy to see her. Probably. Their mother, Pinky, has been spayed and released. Now to tame these ones up and get them adopted!

Today in a classifieds group someone was offering to free "mousers" - tiny little babies that barely should have been leaving them mom if people were ethically breeding - unfixed and unvaccinated. When told in the comments to get her cat fixed, she responded "what would be awful is if all the cats were fixed and we didn't have any more cute baby kittens!"

I have over 30 kittens in my program right now. Some rescues have a lot more than me. And I've said no to another 25 kittens just in the last week. We don't need to LET our cats have kittens, litter after litter, because we might run out of kittens. What the actual f**k? I blocked her on my personal account because I simply could not hold my tongue otherwise.

Zaydee is the sweetest, loveliest cat you will ever meet. She loves to give hugs, and to put her paws on your shoulders and lick your face excessively. She wants nothing out of life except a warm cozy bed and a person to love. She hates dogs and other cats and needs to be the only pet (I think she could coexist with rodents, lizards, and the like, though).

She is currently recovering from having her tail amputated (twice) but once she's recovered I'm hoping to find a foster for her that will be able to give her the love and attention she deserves. She doesn't like living at the sanctuary because there's just too many cats here. She can be fostered out before her tail fully heals if you're willing to do the upkeep, I just assume no one is, haha.

She really is the most amazing little cat and deserves the best! Who doesn't have other pets and maybe wants to foster Zaydee?

Kittens kittens kittens! Come and get your kittens!

These kittens are available for adoption! $125 for one kitten, and $200 for two! Kittens are required to be adopted in pairs unless you have a suitable companion for them already at home!

Storm, Pepper, Turtle, and Xatu: these babies were born in June, orphaned, and bottle raised. They are snuggly and playful and perfect little companions!

Monster and Gemini: these boys are about five months old and are sweet and playful! They are older than the rest of the bunch, and that means you can already start to see their personalities!

Xanthe and Xanadu: these gorgeous sisters are petite and a little shy, but sure to warm up any household, and just in time for spooky season!

Bad Bangs: he's a handsome boy who will follow you around the house and loves to snuggle and play. He's perfect!

Christina: She's shy, but that's okay because she clearly has some pretty privilege, and pretty girls are allowed to be shy. She IS snuggly and playful, though!

Jessica Simpson: She is snuggly once you catch her, but is active and playful otherwise. Her little tuxedo coat is so cute!

I'm having trouble figuring out what to do for TNR. Vouchers are back, but the clinic I used in the past has closed. Cache Humane accepts vouchers now, but has very limited appointments and can't accommodate the 6-12 a week that I was doing in before. The next closest clinic is in Roy, and they also can't accommodate 6-12 a week. Which leaves me needing to go to Salt Lake City.

I can buy more traps and take more cats at once to make the Salt Lake trips more worthwhile, but it's still a lot of gas and I'd have to take time off work. I work Monday - Thursday and the two clinics in Salt Lake aren't open on Friday (last I checked). But trapping more cats in one day will require a lot more time and effort, which is difficult to manage when I have to work. I'd likely have to trap all day every Sunday and then only work Tuesday - Thursday, or work on Fridays which I really don't want to do. And I don't think I can afford to only work three days a week.

I don't know how I can manage to keep doing TNR if all the cats need to be transported to Salt Lake City each week. 😔😭

Posting these bottle babies again to see if I can find a foster for them.
