Loaves and Fishes Community Meal Free Community Meal - open to all every month on the first AND third Saturdays at 178 West Center St. in Logan

The Loaves and Fishes Community Meal brings our diverse community together around a common table to provide a meal twice a month that nourishes body and spirit through relationship, service, and fellowship. By building partnerships, Loaves and Fishes welcomes and empowers all. Held the first and third Saturdays of every month at First Presbyterian Church, 178 West Center Street in Logan, Utah. We provide this meal for those in need and for those who are hoping to build stronger relationships throughout our community. You are encouraged to come eat and meet one another!

Thank you so much to everyone who helped with our Loaves & Fishes meal! We truly appreciate everyone who donated food, helped prepare the meal, served, or contributed in any way. Your generosity and willingness to help made it a wonderful success. We are so grateful for such an amazing community and for everyone who helped make sure others were fed and cared for.

We are looking for one or two new members of our meal team. This is an ongoing volunteer role with our program. Please read the description below and then fill out this form if you are interested in learning more at an information session. If this isn't for you, please share with anyone who might be interested!

As part of the meal team you would work as a team with 2-3 other meal coordinators assigned to the meal in order to:

✅Double check a prepared menu for an accurate shopping list
Create the work plan for the meal in cooperation with the rest of the meal team
✅Direct the volunteers in cooking the meal and cleaning up.
✅Be available at least two meals a quarter (8 Saturdays a year) on Saturday from 8 AM to 2 PM - we assign meals based on your schedule at least one quarter in advance so you have plenty of notice!

Desired Skills:
✅Enjoys working cooperatively with a team
✅Enjoys working cooperatively with the public
✅Is a go-getter and is willing to just step in and do things
✅Patience when things don’t go as planned
✅Is willing to get a food handlers permit
✅Some basic cooking skills

Today, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who helps make the Loaves and Fishes Community Meal possible.

Thank you to our incredible volunteers who generously give their time, energy, and compassion each week. Thank you to our donors, community partners, and supporters whose generosity allows us to continue serving warm meals and welcoming smiles. Johnny O's Spudnuts and Great Harvest Bread Logan, UT made our meal today extra special.

Most of all, thank you to every guest who joins us. It is a privilege to share a meal, build friendships, and strengthen our community together.
