Happy summer! We are excited to meet Anya Hawke, a new prehealth advisor. Here's the excerpt she posted on Canvas.

"Hello Prehealth Students! I just wanted to introduce myself to you all and tell you a little about me.

First, and foremost, I’m a gaming nerd and spider enthusiast. I like to find the cute in the ugly (like in spiders. Have you seen the peacock spider? Go on and check it out; I’ll wait). When I’m not saving the galaxy or identifying creepy-crawlers, you can find me here advising.

My goal as an advisor is the same as a person: to help you build confidence in yourself, your decisions, and your future. Your experiences matter. Your goals and dreams matter. Because you matter. Come work with me and I’ll do my best to help you prepare for your future.

Officer Elections are TOMORROW! Do your civic duty by electing the people you think will do the best to continue to make this club the best Pre-Med club on campus! There will be food** provided as well. We want to see everyone there!
**Food options currently being discussed include Pizza or Jimmy John's....something way cooler than just cookies. Stay tuned for updates.

Following mental health week, the USUSA Excellence in Neuroscience club will be hosting Dr. Shawn Talbott to speak about the brain gut connection and how emerging science on mental wellness can help us reduce stress and live healthier lives. Dr. Talbott received is PhD in nutritional biochemistry from Rutgers University and is currently the Chief Science Officer at Amare Global.
