When: Friday, 11/7 & Saturday, 11/8 from 10am-2pm
Where: Bear River Massacre Site near Preston, ID (approx. 2 hour drive from Salt Lake City)

Helpful tips for planning below, should you decide to register and join us.
We will meet between 9:30 - 10:00 AM. Please leave extra time in your commute to account for any gas station stops you may need along the way. -- Parking is limited; we encourage carpooling, when possible.
What should you wear?
long pants
closed-toe, comfortable shoes, there will be a fair amount walking
extra warm layers (it's often windy)
clothing you don't mind getting dirty
What else should you bring?
your own refillable water bottle (we will have water refill stations, snacks, and a light lunch will arrive at 1:30)
sun protection
camp chair or blanket if you will want it to sit on
your own tools and work gloves, if you would like (narrow or regular sharp tip shovel - we have extra tools as well as crews working ahead of the volunteers to dig holes using augers)
We will have some portable restrooms placed throughout the planting areas and first-aid certified staff. Please use good judgment in regards to keeping yourself and those around you free from injury.
To get to the site just north of Preston, you can use google maps and type in "Bear River Massacre Site" (this exact phrasing will work in Google Maps). On the other side of the street NW of the Memorial Site is W. Hot Springs Road. Drive a short distance (a block or so) to the [http://42.14396356882658,%20-111.9134826433262] fork in the road where you will see a portable restroom and follow the road left. There will be volunteer guides and some signage stationed to direct you to the proper parking locations and turn-around site for busses.
If you are registered by Wednesday, November 5th, I will send a short video to you to help everyone navigate the planting day areas. Please follow the directions from all Team Members wearing vests! They’ve been instructed to make changes as needed in regards to flow and parking.

When you arrive, check in (those of you that are not registered) at the green Tree Utah table and all should proceed to the meeting location for the welcome ceremony at 10:00 AM. After the welcome, we'll split into groups and each group will do a planting demonstration together and then get planting!
