Hello Scholars! My name is Shelby Mall and I am the director for the 2013-2014 school year! I am so excited for the opportunity I have to work with you this year. Sheldon and I have a lot of big plans for our program and I am so happy to implement them!
A little about myself, I was born and raised in Tooele, Utah, home of the Buffaloes! This is my third year at Utah State and I am dual majoring in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I love basketball, painting my nails, and watching movies. I work at Buffalo Wild Wings as a Guest Experience Captain and yeah! That's just a little about me. I look forward to meeting all of you! I hope your summer was fantastic!

We have a couple of items of business to take care of: Please read all of it! :)
*I am putting together a committee and am now taking applications! This is a great opportunity to get more involved with the program and to find some extra hours. Please consider applying for a position. I promise it is not going to be too much, I will not be overloading you with too much. Please email me if you are interested in applying for a committee position! It really is a great opportunity.
*Upcoming Events: All Scholar Luncheon on September 18th at 11:30, Attendance is Mandatory It is common hour so no one should have class that time. We will briefly be going over important information, such as the new timeline requirements for graduation. This is very important, plus we're going to be feeding you. For free! Which is super great. A formal invitation to RSVP will be sent to your email in the next week or so.

I am so excited for this school year and I know together we can accomplish a lot! This is a great program and I know it has so much more potential. Please help me make it the best it can be! If you have any questions, comments, ideas, rude remarks, anything at all please don't hesitate to email me or call me! Thanks guys! Have a fantastic first week of school!!

Always render more and better service than is expected of you, no matter what your task may be.

01/28/2013

I slept and I dreamed that life is all joy. I woke and I saw that life is all service. I served and I saw that service is joy.

01/23/2013

We make a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give.

01/17/2013

Service is the rent we pay for being. It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time.

01/01/2013

Whether we want them or not, the New Year will bring new challenges; whether we seize them or not, the New Year will bring new opportunities

12/29/2012

The object of a new year is not that we should have a new year, it is that we should have a new soul

Good luck with finals Scholars!
