A few years ago, I, Merrill Gould, was wondering what I should do with the horses that I owned. I wondered if I should sell them or give them away. As I was in the midst of this deliberation, a daughter asked me to give her riding lessons. It wasn't long before more young girls wanted to join producing the need to find more horses. This proved to be a good experience for these girls, because they

learned horsemanship by having to care for their horse each afternoon. The became better students in school, more reliable and happy at home, and gained more self-confidence as they learned horsemanship skull's. This increase in character and sense of responsibility is important to nurture our youth of today.

Loved seeing our more experienced girls take the lead at the barrel clinic. They did such a great job helping the newer girls learn patterns, build confidence, and improve their skills in the arena. It’s so rewarding watching these girls encourage each other and grow together through the love of horses and barrel racing! 🤎🐴

Due to the weather, we are needing to reschedule our Glow in the Dark Barrel Race. We are so grateful for everyone’s support, excitement, and understanding. We want this to be a fun and safe event for all our cowboys, cowgirls, and horses, and we can’t wait to light up the arena with you soon! New date coming shortly. 🌟🐴

We loved having a local Girl Scout troop out at Whispering Canyons! Our girls had such a great time teaching them how to safely approach, groom, and connect with the horses before heading out for rides. It was so fun watching confidence grow, friendships form, and smiles all around. Thank you girls for coming out and spending the day at the ranch with us! 🤠🐴
