Science is about discovery through the scientific method. Mainstream science is about theories, or the philosophies which the majority of scientists accept. There are several ways the first chapter of Romans can be interpreted. The following interpretation by a microbiologist assumes that Paul saw the influence some evolutionists would have on society in our day. Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. Interpretation It is assumed that Paul was referring to those evolutionists of our day who, “hold the truth in unrighteousness.” That is, they teach that the earth and life on the earth were the result of evolution, therefore there is no God.
