This morning is a tough day for our friend. She will face her abuser in court for the first time. This abuser since being released from jail has repeatedly tried to contact several of her friends through social media. To play games with her mind and try to get her to drop the case.
Fortunately it’s Ohio vs this abuser because it’s now turned into several felony charges. And she won’t drop charges or let this person win. Our system when it comes to domestic violence is so broken.
The system is protecting the victim( which is unfortunately rare )
Please pray for her today and days to come. This brings up a lot of past things up for us and we are relieved that the system is stepping up. It’s super scary and hurtful to watch. So many people don’t have that with our system. Please pray for the individuals that can’t leave their abusers.

EDITED: just left court and her abuser is now back in custody. Ty all for the prayers

Please pray for a friend whom is in the fight of her life against her abuser. Sunday she was held hostage by this person who claimed to love her beyond. Her abuser is now in jail awaiting her court date. Our friend was granted a 5 year protection order this morning.

NatpaC member and domestic abuse survivor, my friend, Cyndi Chapman, along with her parents, participated in this Purple Ribbon event Thursday. Ironically, held on Natalie’s Birthday.
They live in Louisiana and Cyndi is a warrior and an advocate of DA awareness.
Who would be interested in participating in an event in other areas?

Natalie was a inspiration to so many in our small community, in Logan, Ohio. She could light up a room as soon as she walked in with her contagious smile. She didn’t know a stranger and no matter her own circumstances she made sure everyone else felt special in their own way when she spoke to you. She was the mother to Crew Nutter and made sure he was constantly loved, cared for and even in her final moments protected him. Natalie set up a bank account for her son to put money in as Crew grew up, so he would have money to go towards college. To honor her motherly wishes we are raising money for Crew’s account through these t-shirt sales.

On December 2, 2019, Natalie’s life, her family, friends and her son’s life was tragically changed forever when she was taken from us in a horrific event. Her estranged husband abducted her from her home and a short hour later he took her life then proceeded to take his own. Through this we as a family and community are hoping to bring awareness and change to domestic violence victims.
