Help another Community Garden:
You may be aware that the Urban Community Farm operated by Utah Conservation Corps was affected by the Logan Canyon Fire a few weeks ago. Now in a position to get back on track, the Urban Garden needs volunteers on Thur-Fri-Sat of this week. Shifts are early mornings and evening hours before dark.

1-2 hours of your time will make a difference and will be greatly appreciated.

Do you love plants? Read on.

Our greenhouse has taken a break during the hot months, but now it's time to think about using the greenhouse in late summer / early fall.

Operating a greenhouse, even for 2-3 months, is a team effort. If we can get 7-10 people on the team, we can make great things happen without much of a burden on any one person's time. If you love plants, we'd love to hear from you.

In particular, please tell us how you would like to be involved with the Greenhouse, what ideas you have for plants we should grow, etc.

We are gathering names of interested persons and their input via survey (linked in the Comments) until August 1, 2026. Our first meeting will be in early August, and the team will decide how to proceed.

Every sign of promise fills us with HOPE.

The summer vegetables are starting to show signs of promise. We are dreaming of all the recipes we'll be making. It takes a lot of vigilance -- managing water, soil, weeds, and pests -- to get to a harvest. And yet, we're doin' it!

Workday on a hot day🥵? That's why we're doing it in the early morning on Saturday July 11 at 8 AM. All skill levels welcome. Just show up and we'll put you to work.

Our task: to improve water-wise infrastructure of the plots. Each gardener will receive a new and better set of irrigation hoses, and guidance on how to install them. In addition, if you are present at 8:30 AM and raise your hand, you will receive a free bag of mulch for your plot. "Must be present....
