With broken hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of Roxy earlier today. She appeared to have had a stroke and then immediately went into a grand mal seizure. There was no warning and she had no known health issues other then being a bit over weight. She appeared perfectly healthy, was happy and normal one minute and then was gone within a few minutes later. Even with full and complete vetting, we can never know a dog's back ground especially when they come from a horrific hoarding situation as Roxy and, her believed sister, Foxy had been in previously.
Roxy passed away in the arms of her foster Mommy while she was being petted and told sweetly how much she is loved. We ask to respect our foster's wishes for some time to grieve as she is still in shock and is completely devastated at this time. Roxy was one of her favorite all time foster dogs and she was very attached to Roxy in particular. We Thank You so much for giving Roxy the care, love and devotion that she required in her time of need!
Roxy's surviving sister, Foxy, has been a bit confused and mildly stressed but is doing very well under the circumstances. Foxy is starting to act and behave normally in the last several hours. Foxy will be getting extra attention, love and devotion by her foster Mommy to make sure she is okay.
Our hearts, love and prayers go out to Roxy's foster Mommy and Foxy. Rest in peace our beloved and sweet Roxy! We miss you baby girl! You are loved and will remain in our hearts forever!
R.I.P. sweet Roxy!
