5 Years and 2 Months !!! The Season Finale

I began the LHS FB Live program at the onset of Covid in an effort to reach out to those in quarantine. For nearly a year and a half, it was just me in an empty room, playing organ and piano. Playing organ was much easier for me back then because the Historic Hook Organ was the only organ I was playing. It does take a person practice to get the feet working correctly because the alignment is different than on a tradition 20th century instrument. As restrictions eased I was able to start bringing guests on though many were fearful and wore masks and kept their distance. Sunday Night I’ll have a few of the most frequent quests from the program and a few other special guests. Sadly we’ve gone through 2 pets in 5 years, Max and Tobe who were always the hit of the program.

Sunday night … Tune in at 7:30 PM for this Special Farewell program with guests, Jess Youngquest, Joey Dugan, Devora Johnson, and Taj Amisano.

Don’t Miss it !!!!

Good Evening Lodi FB Friends. I’m feeling rather guilty. Last Sunday I went to see Mandy Patinkin in Concert. I had every intention of being here with you this evening but sadly Tobe is not doing very well. He’s have several falls and I think along with this age, seizures and all his medications, I has taken a toll. He did show glimpses of hope this evening. It seems the key phrase to getting him up and moving is “let’s go for a ride in the car”.

I had an interesting Palm Sunday piece to play for you called Parade … depicting the crowds on Palm Sunday starting off in the distance and building as the pass and then fading away. I’ll keep this piece out and share it with you soo.

Who are we? We are shining stars, trouble souls trying to recover, friendly faces, intense faces from afar, memories and futures stories. This is a You Tube Video I made quite a few years ago. Each image is full of some kind of emotion. I took all of the photos except for a coupe of family from the past and the soldier friends from Afghanistan.

As you watch this, try to look into each persons eyes and imaging what their story might be. They stretch from Afghanistan to France, Florida, to Colorado and more. Some of you might recognize a few of these faces.

If you see yourself or someone you know …. Please comment … I see or I’m there. These photos represent some of my most special moment.
Happiest, meaningful and blessed Holy Week for all of you.

Faces in my world..... I took 71 of the photos you will see. The rest of the images were given me by the subject. They represent: Faces of hope, love, wond...

PS ….. Many fine young people have worked at the Big M these last few years. Harrison Barrett is the fine son of the pastor at the Interlaken Baptist Church. I asked him if he was working that evening of the Ovid fire and he said he was. I asked him to describe the initial reaction in the first few moments. This is what he wrote.

The first sign I noticed was when the fire alarm went off while i was on my break. I immediately ran to the front of the building and me and Josh, the other employee got everybody out of the building as fast as possible. I didnt think it would be anything major because we have had minor “fires” like that before. I did not expect what happened to happen. The police evacuated us to Italian Kitchen where we waited for the fire to hopefully settle down but it didnt. They then had to take us to the library where we waited in suspense for what happened next.

Thank You Harrison for sharing this first hand account.
