LODA American Legion is having their fish/chicken fry on Friday, April 3rd from 4-6.
Menu and prices are the same as always. On April 13th, Loda American Legion had the first Fish/Chicken fry and we had people fill out tickets for 18 hams to be given away on the 3rd of April [ good Friday] there was no charge for the tickets, we just allowed people to fill one out, purely out of generosity. the winners are.

Loda American Legion has decided to continue our fish/chicken meals. the menu and the prices are still the same as before

$10.00 13 and up
$5.00- ages 6-12
5 and under free

OUR FIRST FRY IS OCTOBER 10 AND THE SECOND ONE IS NOVEMBER 14 AND THAT WILL FINISH OUT 2025.
BEGINNING 2026 WILL PROBABLY BE MARCH 13 OR 20 AND THE SECOND ONE WILL BE APRIL 3 [GOOD FRIDAY]
THE HOURS WILL BE 4-6PM. SOMEONE WILL REMAIN BEHIND IF SOME PERSONS RUN A LITTLE LATE.

THE REASON FOR THIS MAJOR CUTBACK IS THE FACT THAT THESE WORKERS ARE GETTING OLDER AND IT BECOMES HARDER ON THEM

At our last Legion Post meeting, we have decided to reduce the number of fish/chicken fry's to 4 a year. because of the age of those who help fry and serve, we have decided this to protect the health of those who help. sadly, we don't get younger help, and the Auxiliary has refused to step up. I estimate that by 2030, all activity in this Legion Post will cease to exist. As long as the utilities are covered, we will still exist as a Post, but the situation could be the end of Memorial Day services, ect
