I encourage each of you to take a moment to pause and reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day. This day is set aside to honor and remember the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country so that we may continue to enjoy the freedoms we have today.
As Scouts, the Scout Oath reminds us to do our duty to God and our country and to help other people at all times. Memorial Day is an important reminder of the sacrifices made by those who lived out that commitment through their service and dedication to our nation.

Sir David Attenborough celebrates his 100th birthday. If you don't know who David is, you've probably heard his voice on a "nature" show. Google David Attenborough and see what all he has done! He's traveled the world and introduced so much about the world around us. Part of his inspiration started as a Cub Scout and he met the founder of Scouts, Lord Baden-Powell. Check out this interview from some British Scouts! We hope the experiences in Cub Scout Pack 202 and BSA Troop 202 inspire our Scouts to continue to do great things - just like Sir David Attenborough!

Congratulations to Troop 202 Eagle Scout John Owen Tucker on his receiving a $1,000 scholarship from Rotary West Stanly!!! Well done and best wishes at UNC-Charlotte!!!

We were honored today to recognize scholarship winner John Owen Tucker, who visited with his parents Greg and Wendy. John will be off to UNC Charlotte this Fall. Congratulations to John on his commitment to community service!
