Flags are up for the Labor Day weekend through 911. If you are one of our patrons, please keep the grass cleared from the pole sleeve site. It makes it easier for our volunteers to place your flag. And thank you for being part of our program!! YOU are helping make a difference!

At our Aug 23rd meeting, we will be collecting food items for the Christian Ministry pantry. If you would like to donate any items, let us know. We can pick up or arrange a drop off. Here is the letter from Robert Britt sharing what they can use!
Good afternoon! Hope you’re doing well and that your summer has been a good one!

The heat and the kids being out of school has truly influenced the needs of our pantry here at WSCM. We were reviewing some of our metrics and we saw that we’ve already assisted out more pounds of food in 2018 than we did in all of 2017. It’s a busy year and we simply couldn’t do what we do without the work and support of folks like you.

While quantity and quality of food continues to grow, we also want to strive for diversity so that folks in need have some of the same blessings you and I get to experience on a more consistent level. This just means we want to have more food options and availability as we can and are able. It’s a daunting task and at the heart is truly wanting to serve people with the excellence that the Lord calls us and that He deserves. These are His creations we’re trying to serve and His message we’re trying to deliver in that process. Your prayers are needed as much as your donations, so thank you for serving alongside us in these efforts.

Our current needs are as follows:

Spaghetti noodles and spaghetti sauce

Chicken noodle soup

Instant potaotes

Canned Tuna

Ramen Noodles

Crackers (saltine, club, town house, etc)

Spam

Dukes Mayonaise

Vienna Sausage

Pork N Beans

Sugar (small bags)

Thank you for any help you can give us as we work to try and provide for these needs. We hope to be able to share some exciting news with you in the next couple of correspondences

In Christ,

Robert Britt

Our Valentines dinner was extra special this year. Makayla, Mason and Scott brought some neat songs of love to share. It was especially sweet with the club sang along with them to "I can't help falling in love with you". We also welcomed Debbie Baker, Bonnie Kund and Tom Quattlebaum as honored visitors.
