Just wanted to update you all on the stellar meeting we had, and if you couldn't make it, we sure missed you, we hope to see you soon at our new location for now. A big warm welcome to our new members, and newly elected officers, who will transition into their respective roles officially ready, to kick off our future of stewardship in the community. The consensus last night was that we have so many opportunities to grow, that we are expanding our team of volunteers. Interested? We want to showcase your skills and time driven attributes to share with those in need. Help build connections, share experiences and support our fellow Cherokees. No prior experience is needed. Come help, be a part of community sgadugi ᏍᎦᏚᎩ.

One of the best ways we can serve our community is by continuing to learn about and understand the history, culture, and traditions of the Cherokee people and the community, we are privileged to serve.

The Cherokee Nation views its immersion school as a vital cornerstone for saving the Cherokee language from decline.

📌 𝐘𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝: Join us for the grand opening of the new Cherokee Immersion Middle School on Monday, August 17, at 10 a.m. in Tahlequah!

Please join Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. , Cherokee Nation Deputy Principal Chief Bryan Warner and other Cherokee Nation leaders as we celebrate this exciting milestone and the opening of a new school dedicated to Cherokee language, culture and education.

The $30 million school is funded through the Durbin Feeling Language Preservation Act and will house students in grades 4–8. Classes begin August 27!
