As a Peer-driven organization, Peer Support is instrumental in our service delivery model. There is a growing body of evidence as to the effectiveness of Peer Support. Guidance and support from our staff who utilize their personal lived experiences, along with their training and education, to assist individuals in Niagara County is recognized today on Global Peer Support Celebration Day.

The Love Nug held a Health and Wellness Fair yesterday that the MHA tabled at. The owners, Adam and Joleigh Wylucki, surprised us with a very generous donation of $1,000, showing their commitment to, and passion for, positive mental health and wellness. Their support is greatly appreciated.

You never realize how much stuff you accumulate over the years until you're wondering where to put your new stuff. Thanks to several Five Star Bank employees who volunteered their time this week, we now have places to put our new stuff. They organized and cleaned our office's storage areas so we can actually easily find what we need 😂. Thank you Five Star Bank for helping us de-clutter our office.

September is a busy month at the MHA as it is Su***de Awareness Month. We were happy to help in the planning of, and attend, Soul Shop for Communities last Thursday at Colonial Heights Free Methodist Church , as well as the Out of the Darkness Walk on Saturday. Keep an eye out for our Appeal Letter in the next week or so to support our su***de prevention efforts.

Our great friends at Alternative Grounds Caffe - Middleport, NY are holding a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser for us on Sunday October 18th. The MHA will receive part of the proceeds from the sales that morning. We hope you can make it (BTW - if you haven't been there, the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced).
