Compeer Niagara will once again be offering Tuesdays in the Park this summer for any youth between 12 and 18 years of age at Day Road Park in Lockport. There will be plenty of activities but feel free to bring your own if you'd like. See more details on the flyer below.

Congratulations to Riley Tsiolekis for being named the recipient this year of the MHA's Justin Budwey Memorial Scholarship. Riley is pictured below receiving her $1,000 scholarship check with our Executive Director, Dan Colpoys. Riley is a soon-to-be graduate of Lockport High School who will be continuing her education at SUNY Brockport in the Fall.

It's been awhile since we've taped our TV show, "The Many Faces of Mental Health". Our long-time host and MHA staff member, Jackie Kenney, always did such a great job with hosting the show we weren't sure if we would be able to fill her shoes after her passing last year. Our Executive Director, Dan Colpoys, who has hosted the show previously, decided to give it a shot again as we know Jackie would have wanted the show to continue. So, we invited our new neighbor, Chris Harzynski, President of Creative Restorations, Inc. , on to talk about the new office he has opened up in Lockport. You can meet Chris and his staff in person this Saturday May 30th at the event he is hosting to introduce his new office to the community. It will be held in the parking lot at the corner of Pine St. + Walnut St. (across from Molinaro's) starting at 11am. Details on the flyer below. It promises to be a great event. Other organizations, including the MHA, will be tabling there. There will also be a food giveaway thanks to the Wheels of Hope mobile food pantry.

Let us introduce you to Courtney Torgalski, pictured below with our agency's Executive Director, Dan Colpoys. Courtney is the owner and proprietor of 716 Skin Alchemist in Hamburg, NY. Courtney is also getting married this weekend - great news for her friends and family - but wait, it gets better. In recognition of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, Courtney and her fiancée, Jonathan, decided to forego traditional wedding favors for their guests, and instead use that money to make a $1,000 donation to the MHA - but wait, it gets better. Jonathan works for Moog Inc. and they will also be making a donation to the MHA! We are grateful to Courtney, Jonathan, and Moog Inc. - new friends of the MHA - for their selfless support of the MHA.
