Well… we’re missing a few postings on recent Rotary Club of Lockport meetings. Mind you there’s no substitute for actually attending the meetings and hearing our speakers President-elect, Amanda Henning invites.

Going back to April 21st, our own Rotarian, Dr. Paul Dion, filled us in on his trip to Ekpoma, Nigeria to learn first hand about the water needs at a Catholic school and the health and economic benefits to be gained if he is successful in raising $21,000. Talk to Paul about how you can help. On May 5th, Crystal Morgan from Pursuit, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) gave a dynamic presentation on on the organization’s role in serving communities unable to access traditional bank financing. This is done without competing with banks and credit unions. Most recently, Jim Sweich owner of a local business, Sweich Consulting explained his company’s capabilities in addressing difficult tax issues.
