Who watched the Olympic Opening Ceremonies yesterday?

Camp Kenan had such a strong Olympic tradition - the torch run, the parade of nations, national anthems, the Olympic podium, the special meal and every counselor’s favorite - the custom made team shirts.

If you were part of this tradition as a camper or a Kenan staffer, it’s hard not to get excited for the Games!

What is your fondest Camp Kenan Olympic Week memory?

Come to Lock 34 and have a lot of fun!

We will be holding a “Friends of Camp Kenan” Staff Alumni winter reunion on Saturday January 10th at Lock 34 beginning at 5:30pm.

As mentioned earlier, Friends of Camp Kenan is in need of new board members. We have heard from some that are interested, but there are still spots available. If you are interested, you can message this page

One thing that this new group will need to be ready to do… Plan the 30th (that’s right, 3.0.) anniversary of the founding of Friends of Camp Kenan in 2026!
