Sisters and Brothers….i just called to talk with Sister Robin McKenzie. She is back in the hospital. She didn’t go back to VA Hospital but went to the Ames hospital where she was born and had her appendix removed. Her heart is acting up again! Please continue to pray for her!

SIsters and Brothers…prayers are needed for our dear Sister Robin McKenzie! She is in ER at VA hospital in Iowa. She said last week the doctors said she just had allergies but has not gotten better. She told Larry that she just felt bad. Her heart is acting up. They have done a lot of blood work and waiting for diagnosis.

Sisters and Brothers….as of today we have made $700.00 on our beautiful handmade by Jodi Fischer afghan. If you still have tickets, please remember the drawing is at our June meeting. WE JUST NEED to sell 30 more tickets to reach our $1000.00 goal. If anyone needs to take the afghan to show at a meeting, it is at Lockhart Lodge. I am so thankful to our members that are making this fund raiser a success!

Sisters and Brothers…just a reminder that Tuesday, May 12th is our stated meeting. We will honor our Scholarship recipient right before opening of Chapter. REMEMBER, we are treating ourselves to a dinner preparing Kelli…Chicken pot pie, salad and bread. We just need to bring a few desserts, because we do love desserts! We will have our annual Memorial Program.
ALSO…please bring some personal care items to donate to the Caldwell County Food Bank. Dana, will you please post their Facebook post to show what they are asking for!

Lockhart Chapter is selling raffle tickets for this blanket crocheted by one of our members. All money raised will go to local scholarships and local charities through the Lockhart Chapter #210 Order of Eastern Star. Tickets are $10.00 a piece. Help support our community!

The blanket is 4'x5' and made from high quality, soft yarn. It is also washable.

Drawing will be at the June meeting.

What a wonderful evening Larry and I had last night at Lockhart Lodge! They had a beautiful ceremony for this Honest and Integrity recipient and their Lamar Medal recipients! ALL outstanding young people.
I was honored the Lodge let me set up a table with our beautiful Afghan Throw on it and sell tickets. Larry, Tammie and I sold 19 tickets! If you want to attend a Lodge meeting in our area and sell tickets, please contact me about taking the Afghan with you. Many said the photo does not do it justice. SIster Jodi will have it Tuesday night at Lytton Springs Lodge meeting.
