Our DGM Sister Tara, asked me to remind all of the deadline for our Section’s Back to Grand Chapter brunch. Tickets are $25.00 and the deadline for tickets is July 12. The brunch will be July 25th.

Sister and Brothers…..it is with great sorrow that I announce that our dear Sister Santa Smith has gained her Heavenly wings. We know God needed a dedicated servant to help others in Heaven! We will miss this dear LADY so very much. I just hope that everyone can live by her example of caring for others! I will announce arrangements when we hear. Prayers for this family needed!

Sisters and Brothers….we drew a winner for the handmade crocheted afghan, made lovingly by SIster Jodi Fischer. The winner was Maggie McBride, who is the main councilor at Lockhart High School. She is our lifeline to our Scholarship recipients each year. She is also the daughter of Past Master George McGrew. He’s going to deliver the afghan to her.
THE GREAT NEWS Is that we met our goal (probably just my goal) of $1000.00. That is our Scholarship money for this year!!! I thank all that sold tickets and brought tickets to make this fundraiser a GREAT SUCCESS!

Good afternoon Sisters and Brothers…just a reminder that it is just one week away from our June stated meeting AND INSTALLATION of our 2026-27 Officers! We will have a salad supper at 6:30pm…please bring a LARGE salad of your choice. I will bring EVERYTHING BREAD and tea! We hope to have several visitors so make a LARGE salad! Our stated meeting will begin promptly at 7:30pm. We will open, read minutes and close this meeting. THEN, we will have Installation of officers. It will be a long evening but it will save everyone on gas by not having 2 separate meetings.

Sisters and Brothers….i just called to talk with Sister Robin McKenzie. She is back in the hospital. She didn’t go back to VA Hospital but went to the Ames hospital where she was born and had her appendix removed. Her heart is acting up again! Please continue to pray for her!

SIsters and Brothers…prayers are needed for our dear Sister Robin McKenzie! She is in ER at VA hospital in Iowa. She said last week the doctors said she just had allergies but has not gotten better. She told Larry that she just felt bad. Her heart is acting up. They have done a lot of blood work and waiting for diagnosis.
