Family & Consumer Sciences:
Texas AgriLife Extension Service in Caldwell County provides educational programming in the area of Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) on topics such as: Diabetes, Nutrition, Cooking, Health, Finances, Family Wellness, and Nutrition. Agriculture & Natural Resources:

lutre and Natural Resources (AG/NR) on topics such as: beef cattle, forages, meat goats, field crops, brush management, horticulture, water quality and conservation, environmental stewardship and wildlife management.

4-H:

The 4-H program in Caldwell County consists of six clubs, with membership of 262 children from 3rd grade through 12th grade. Twenty-seven screened adult volunteers assist and help lead members to develop leadership, citizenship and life skills. Members have planted trees and painted at local parks for beautification projects around Caldwell County. Youth have also donated food and hand made items to the food pantry, children’s homes and to the elderly and disadvantaged. They lead Bingo at a local nursing home on a monthly basis, sponsored blood drives and are always eager to contribute more time and energy in the county.

🍀OBJECTIVE: Each county will collect donations locally to support first responders for all they do. County will report local donation totals. All items are to be distributed within the same community. The County with the most donations will win a banner! The deadline to submit your donations is May 15th! Healthy Texas Youth Ambassadors assist County Extension agents in providing valuable health education to youth and adults within the community.
