Who doesn't love bread? Did you know, we shouldn't share with wildlife, though?

Feeding ducks and geese can lead to overcrowding, which means more nutrients and bacteria in our water.

The good news? More crackers for you. Enjoy wildlife from a distance to help keep our water clean.

When livestock have direct access to creeks and rivers, bacteria increase, and streambanks erode. What can you do to stop excess nutrients and bacteria?

Installing perimeter fencing along riparian areas protects riparian buffers, streambanks, and water quality. Studies show that fenced riparian zones can greatly reduce f***l bacteria and sediment loading.

Landowner assistant programs for riparian management may be available from the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service.
