Did you know Bastrop has its own Toastmasters chapter?

And if you don’t know what Toastmasters is, you are missing out big time.

Toastmasters is a nonprofit, self-governed social club where people practice public speaking, communication, and leadership skills in a supportive environment.

Honestly, it is the cherry on top for anyone who wants to level up in their career, personal life, confidence, or community.

Whether you want to develop your speaking skills, grow as a leader, or you’re new to town and simply want to meet people, come be our guest.

And no pressure, you do not have to participate. You can just come, sit quietly, observe, and see whether it feels like a good fit for you.

We meet every Monday at 6:30 PM inside First National Bank in Bastrop.

Lions Legacy is helping share this opportunity on behalf of Pastor Lora Hardway and Resurrection Life Church.

The Greater Fayette Community Foundation will be hosting a 2026 Community Impact Grant Information Session in Caldwell County on Thursday, June 4.

This is a great opportunity for local nonprofits, churches, community groups, grassroots leaders, and organizations to learn about available grant funding focused on rural health, mental health, workforce development, education, and community impact.

Got old tires taking up space? This is your reminder — tomorrow is the FREE tire drop-off event for Caldwell County residents.

Bring eligible tires to one of two collection locations between 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. Saturday and help keep our roadsides, waterways, and neighborhoods cleaner.
